AT LAST, SIGN OF RELIEF - PAH LAH AND TUN DR MAHATHIR TO MEET

It has been widely reported in the media today that a meeting has been scheduled for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to iron out their differences of opinion on matters relating to the country. Very close sources reveal that it will happen within the next 3 days. It should be a sign of relief for many people. But whatever the outcome, this meeting is taking place and as I had earlier told in my article on September 24, 2006, 'Ramadhan - Holy month, reconciliation of leaders hoped'. This being a very holy month of Ramadhan, I am sure a compromise could be reached in satisfaction of both parties. I am very sure Tun Dr Mahathir wants what's best for the country. It was reported by some media that Tun Dr Mahathir will stick to matters of dissatisfaction he had already expressed widely. I hope Pah Lah will evaluate Tun Dr Mahathir comments and reasoning and make the necessary adjustments. In any deal there has to be a give and take.

I hope with this reunion of these two leaders, our country will continue to progress and our rakyat will live in peace and harmony.
