A PUBLIC DEBATE - THE BEST PLATFORM TO SETTLE TUN DR MAHATHIR MOHAMAD AND PM DATUK SERI ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI'S RIFT.

After reading and digesting the various comments made by many quarters, I feel the best platform to resolve the present rift between Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi would be for a public debate televised live to the rakyat. Then the rakyat could safely say who is telling the truth and who is telling a lie.

Both side supporters seems to be mounting their criticism against each other. This is not a very healthy situation.

Majority of the rakyat is still kept in the dark. Tun Dr Mahathir seems to be airing his grievances very openly and is risking himself to be penalised. In the eye of the rakyat, it seems that Tun Dr Mahathir is their 'hero'. But PM Pah Lah on the other hand, seems to be receiving his backing for the BN leaders, which in any given situation, this will prevail. So Pah Lah's support is artificial and the rakyat doubt his honesty and sincerity on this matter. He has yet to explain what transpired and his reply to the four-eye meeting held at Seri Perdana.

To allow the rakyat to judge who is right and who is wrong, a public debate which will be live telecasted would be the best solution. Then the rakyat can make a decision who should keep quiet or who should step down, since the rakyat is the one who had given their mandate.

So, lets hear of a PUBLIC DEBATE WHICH WILL BE LIVE TELECASTED.
