RAJA PETRA KAMARUDDIN ON 'HUNGER STRIKE' IN JAIL, REFUSES TO MEET ANYONE


Raja Petra Kamaruddin, the webmaster of MalaysiaToday, who was jailed yesterday for refusing to post bail had refuse to meet anyone including his wife, Marina Lee Abdullah. It is learned that he is on a hunger strike.

At the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court yesterday, Raja Petra was charged under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sediction Act for publishing a seditious article, 'Let's send the Altantuya murderers to hell' on April 25, 2008 on his website which allegedly implied that DPM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Rosnah Mansor were involved in the killing of Altantuya , a young Mongolian woman while hearing has been fixed from October 6, 2008 to October 10,2008 and bail was fixed at RM5,000 which he refused to post and had instead decided to remain in police custody until hearing date.
