KAYVEAS MAY LOSE TAIPING SEAT - DUE TO FAILED PROMISES

It has been noted that Datuk M. Kayveas seems to be losing grounds with the rakyat at Taiping since he has failed to honour pledges made and due to 'in-fighting' between the Barisan Nasional partners regarding seat allocation, belittling party leaders and various other matters. Kayveas is the sole candidate of the People's Proggressive Party (PPP) for a parliamentary seat.
Since Kayveas had not performed his responsibility as pledged by him, the Taiping voters are strongly opposing him and may elect DAP candidate Nga Kor Ming.
The Taiping constituency has 65,455 voters comprising of 50.3 percent Chinese, followed by Malays (32.3 percent) and Indians (13.3 percent).
Its has been revealed that Kayveas has failed to honour the pledges that he would reopen the Taiping airport, allocate land for SRJK(C) Hua Lian 2 and SMJK Hua Lian. But none of these had materialised.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Kayveas has promised 12 Chinese guilds with unfulfilled monetary pledges since after presenting mock cheques to gain 'cheap publicity' which he is fond of and political mileage at the expense of the Taiping resident that he is seen doing his work.
Basing on these factor and with the current attitude of the rakyat against the Barisan Nasional which is uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupted, Kayveas chances in Taiping is very slim.
It was also noted that Kayveas was also never a member of the PPP and there are questions raised how he could be fielded as Barisan Nasional candidate. It was revealed that he had 'conned' the Registrar of Societies by dubious means to gain recognisation as its President. These issues have been wide-spread and would add to his defects.
Whatever noted, it all depends on the Taiping voters. If they still want to retain this 'con' and 'untrustworthy' Kayveas or vote for the DAP candidate Nga to show the Barisan Nasional that they are really unhappy with Kayveas and the way the country has been managed by the Barisan Nasional.

SAMYVELLU BREEDS 'GANGSTERS'

It is common knowledge that Datuk Seri S. SamyVellu is responsible for breeding the 'gangsters'. It is also noted that he and his representatives use the services to create chaos during meetings, temple demolitions and others.
It has been noted that SamyVellu claims that others are using 'samseng' or 'gangsters' to create trouble.
Look who is calling the kettle black.
Time for the rakyat to show the gangster leaders in MIC that enough is enough, that the rakyat can never take anymore lies and their gangsterism tactics.
The rakyat can evaluate this from scenes on youtube and articles or personally witnessing incidence when problems are created.
Time for Samy Vellu to face up to reality and accept responsibility for the creation and maintenance of these 'gangster' groups.
Please stop telling lies and own up to it, SamyVellu, that is why there is a huge number of Indian gangsters who are tarnishing the good name and reputation of the Indian community at large.
ELECTION FEVER ON.................

The election fever is strongly felt by every resident in Malaysia with posters everywhere and with 'ceramahs' every night by all the political parties contesting in the general elections. Various promises are made to woo the voters to vote for them.
But as usual, the Barisan Nasional (BN) has a edge with RTM and mainstream medias publishing articles in their favour, in fear of losing their publishing permit.
That is why now most Malaysians rely on cyberspace for information. As usual, certain information may not be correct but most of the information provided are with concrete facts.
The rakyat will have to make its own decision for whom to vote.
If the current BN government does not wake up from its 'sleep', the country will face a massive problem since corruption is at its highest level and unfair distribution of the national wealth among the races in Malaysia. It has been expressed that the Petronas revenue is also been misused since it is not accountable to the rakyat.
The Opposition is capitalising on these weaknesses of the BN and offering the rakyat certain concessions once they win and form the government. The areas are: reduction in fuel prices, free education for all citizens, wipe out corruption and cronism, make Petronas accountable, abolish ISA and so forth.
But the BN maintains that their regime has been tested and it should be continued.
Malaysians need to realise that we need a strong and able government that is caring, effective, efficient and corrupt-free.
VOTE WISELY for a better future.

DAP AND KEADILAN LAUNCH ITS OWN WEBSITES

The DAP had launched their own 2008 Election website: http://dap-elections.com/

Parti KeAdilan Rakyat had launched its own 2008 Election website : HarapanMalaysia.com .

Our comment:

It seems that the cyber age has picked up with this 2008 General Elections. It is hoped that all Malaysians will get to know how to use them wisely.

Malaysians leading their way to the cyber age..........................

DR WAN AZIZAH'S DECISION TO VACATE SEAT FOR HUSBAND, ANWAR IBRAHIM AFTER APRIL 15, 2008?

Parti KeAdilan Rakyat candidate for Pematang Pauh Parliamentary seat, Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail , who is the current inccumbent has been quoted as saying that she will give way for her husband, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after April 15, 2008, so that Anwar could contest for this parliament seat. Anwar Ibrahim had been barred from contesting in any elections due to his 'conviction' and it expires on April 15, 2008.
One of the reasons for calling the general elections before April 15, was to not to allow Anwar to contest in this elections. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was the former Deputy Prime Minister under Tun Dr Mahathir's regime. Anwar was also Deputy chief of the Barisan Nasional then.
The question now post is whether is it fair for anyone to give way for Anwar?
The answer, only the voters from that area could answer.
It seems that Anwar seems to be campaigning everywhere for the Opposition. Anwar is also fully aware of the 'dirty' tactics that BN would use to cheat in this elections.
Whatever the circumstances it is all up to the rakyat to evaluate the situation and not depend on any person to question this call just to gain political mileage in the coming polls.

'SECURITY, PEACE, PROSPERITY' - BN MANIFESTO LAUNCHED

Barisan Nasional launched its election manifesto 'SECURITY, PEACE, PROSPERITY' at the Putra World Trade Centre auditorium, Kuala Lumpur today with 500 BN supporters. Leaders of Barisan Nasional were greeted with the beating of the drums.

A new Barisan Nasional website was launched: BN2008.org.my.
BN Manifesto: SECURITY, PEACE, PROSPERITY
UMNO POURS 'GOODIES' TO WIN THE HEARTS OF THE MALAYS

The UMNO-led Barisan Nasional is pouring in 'goodies' to the Malay rakyat to woo them to vote for the Barisan Nasional candidates. It was reported that about 500 mosques in Kelantan would receive a face-lift if they were to gain control of the State, which until now is in the hands of PAS, an Opposition party.

It seems that UMNO is using every means to get the support of the Malays by using certain 'sensitive' statements to win the confidence of the Malay rakyat.

But at the same time, the BN President, sings a song that 'Malaysia is for all Malaysians'.

There is alot of 'petroleum' money available to the present government to offer various 'goodies' to the rakyat and it seems the BN is using them to the maximum as possible to obtain a 2/3 majority.

Whatever said, it all depends on March 8, 2008, the polling day.

SHAHIDAN KASSIM DROPPED

It is speculated that Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim will be dropped as a candidate in this polls by the Barisan Nasional leadership.

Its been reported that the rakyat in Perlis are unhappy with this move by the BN and have expressed their disappointment to the BN federal leadership.

We will be able to have a full picture sometime today when the caretaker Prime Minister and Chairman of Barisan Nasional announces their final list of candidates for the coming polls.

MCA NO 2 MAKES EXIT

The Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) Deputy President and Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy is expected to annouce his retirement from politics today in wave of poor health and due to scandals in his ministry.

When the list of potential candidates were released by Selangor Menteri Besar, it was quoted that this Parliamentary seat candidate will be annouced later.

The MCA Central Working Committee is current discussing the issue and it will release a statement after they have finished.

Speculation have been around that Chan would not seek re-nominations and it seem that it will be true.

At the same time, various Barisan Nasional leaders have been announcing their list of potential candidates while certain areas have been identified by the Opposition team.

From the current standing it seems quite clear that it will be a one-to-one fight at most places and would be a very interesting elections ahead.

Nomination date is on 24 February 2008 while polling date is on March 8, 2008.

Latest

Its confirm that Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy WILL NOT contest in this elections.

FEBRUARY 24, 2008 - NOMINATION DAY

February 24, 2008 will be nomination day. On that day, the rakyat will know who are the candidates selected to represent each party in the coming polls on March 8, 2008. Most seats would see a straight fight between the ruling Barisan Nasional and the Opposition. If this is a reality, this would be the first time that the Opposition seem to have been united and this will give the Barisan Nasional a tough fight since of late there are many criticism levelled against the Barisan Nasional.

Since intense lobbying for being a candidate is going on, there are also major problems affecting both fronts. Barisan Nasional seems to be having problems with certain component parties with regards to allocation of seats while there is a problem with residents having no faith on the proposed candidates. Meanwhile, Opposition seems to have its own problems too.

But all this, whether good or bad will be known after their respective nominations are accepted and their candidacy announced by the Returning Officer of the Election Commission.

The start of the POLLS begins.....

The RAKYAT WILL THEN DECIDE..............on March 8, 2008 for whom to vote for.
MIC IN TURMOIL OVER CANDIDATES

The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) is in turmoil with various problems affecting it with nominations and polling day in a couple of days or weeks.

Firstly, the Malaysian Indians are not happy with the performance of the MIC since many Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders had reported that the state of the Indians today were mostly due to the uncaring attitude of its MIC leaders. Temple demolitions were actually carried out with the blessing of these MIC heads but had kept silent when the matter exploded just to keep their political status.

Now with the elections, candidates field by MIC is also creating uneasiness among the people in that respective area. Taking a look at Batu Caves, there is reports that the Indians are unhappy with the MIC leadership for 'importing' an outside candidate for the seat when a able candidate is available in that area. A similar situation has been reported for the Parliamentary seats too. There is a report that MIC Youth head should be disqualified from contesting.

Its President, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu had claimed that veterans have to give way for a more able young candidate but in his case, he still wants to remain in power with his arrogance although after having served for almost 29 years. There were also a strong demands for his resignation from the MIC leadership due to his uncaring attitude towards the community.

The Malaysian Indians are an unhappy lot at the current situation. They have claimed that since the restructuring of estates, they were forced to move to the towns and this had created many social problems but the MIC had just had a blind eye towards them. The Indians are demanding the government to give them an edge so that they could uplift their community and protect their culture and tradition. BN leaders have been giving assurances but nothing concrete has been forthcoming so far. Indians have two major peaceful street protest recently to voice their grievances. Since then, it is expected that a majority of them will refrain from voting just to show their displeasure or vote for the Opposition to show their anger for all the broken and empty promises made in the past by the BN.

The Malaysian Indians are current aware the real 'culprits' for their 'fourth class citizenship status' is mainly due to the MIC which had claimed to be the 'champions of the Indians' but had always been uncaring towards their plight. The BN had always been providing support but these were channel only between the close buddies of the top MIC leadership.

The MIC need to realise the Indians have woken-up and know the reality. More problems are ahead since the current moment would be the best time to demand for their rights and privileges to be restored or obtained.

BARISAN NASIONAL ON ITS WAY TO VICTORY.........

The prediction is that the Barisan Nasional will still form the government but maybe with a smaller majority. This has been based on the fact that the Opposition parties are still quarrelling over the allocation of the seats, if this were to materalise, we would see a one to one contest with the Barisan Nasional.

Even yesterday's Malaysian Indians Rose illegal rally had not created any impact. It could not be discounted that some Indians will vote for the Opposition, but it seems that still a majority would continue to vote for the ruling Barisan Nasional since they want security and feel that BN will take reasonable steps to uplift their community in the near future.

There is some fear in the Chinese voters as regards to Penang Chief Minister. Since Barisan Nasional chief and caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had reported that he will maintain status quo, it is presumed that Gerakan will still control the State and this will please the Chinese to vote for them.

The government has planned various 'goodies' for every race coming this election and we can see them once after the nominations are over. As usual, the Malays will receive most of these 'goodies' since they form the majority.

But whatever said it is all up to the rakyat to decide. The vote is in their hands. They need to vote wisely for a better Malaysia.

RED & YELLOW ROSES DAY TRAGEDY

Police had used tear-gas and acid laced water cannons on the Malaysian Indian crowd that had gathered at some distance away from Parliament House to hand over red and yellow roses to the caretaker Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi so that his government will immediately implement programmes to uplift their community and request for the immediate release of their 'heroes' HINDRAF 5 from Kamunting.

Despite many children were at the crowd, the police action were highly criticized.

It was also reported that at least 100 Indians have been arrested from this 'illegal' peaceful protest.

It is for sure that the majority of the Indian will not vote for the Barisan Nasional this coming polls and since their votes are crucial at certain electoral areas, the Barisan Nasional will face a extremely tough challenge to win these seats.

The uncaring attitude of the Barisan Nasional leaders and the police have been strongly criticized.

RED AND YELLOW ROSES DAY - 16th FEBRUARY 2008 - FOR OUR PRIME MINISTER

The Malaysian Indians are about to march once again, this time around to offer our caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi with red and yellow roses, which resembles peace and loving people, at the Parliament House at about 10am tomorrow (16 February 2008).

Organisers expect a big turn-out but at least 100 children holding red and yellow roses will be at hand to hand over these roses to our Prime Minister.

It is speculated that the crowd would be massive and it would seem like a'pesta' of Malaysian Indians around Kuala Lumpur tomorrow since most of them are expected to be from outstation who really want the Malaysian Government to look into their plight as promised and to uplift their lives. They also want the government to immediately release the HINDRAF 5 leaders who are at Kamunting, who had just voiced their concern for their community.

It is now up to the Prime Minister, if he is there personally to accept it, he would gain the respect and confidence of this undivided and loyal Malaysian Indians.

This campaign is also held in various other countries simultaneously like London, United Kingdom, Los Angeles, California, USA, New York, USA, Belgium, Northern Ireland, Indonesia, New Delhi, India, Mumbai, India, New Zealand and Australia.
BERSIH PRESS CONFERENCE IN FRONT OF ISTANA NEGARA DISRUPTED

BERSIH supporters were at the Istana Negara this afternoon to give a press conference against the abuse allegations levelled against the Election Commission, who had been termed by them as 'liars' who manipulate the electoral system for the benefit of the ruling party, Barisan Nasional.

Before the press conference could commence, the police stepped in and arrested a few key leaders including Tian Chua and a PAS politician.

THE 12th GENERAL ELECTIONS FEVER GAINS MOMENTUM........................

The political parties seem to be mobilising for the announcement that Parliament will be dissolved for the commencement of the 12th General Elections. Coffee shops talks speculate that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will dissolve Parliament on 13 February 2008 to pave the way for the next general elections since he had already had the audience with the Yang DiPertuan Agong last week, to obtain his consent.

Barisan Nasional parties and Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers of States have been summoned to prepare a list of eligible candidates and forward them to the Prime Minister, who is also Head of the Barisan Nasional to make his final selection.

The Opposition is also making its final preparation on the list of candidates.

What the Malaysian want and like to see is an united Opposition, where all or most seats are contested one is to one. This will be the best 'eye-opener' to the ruling party, Barisan Nasional since it has been branded uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt.

But whatever said, its all up to the rakyat to evaluate and vote.

The final decision lies with the voters.

If we want to see a massive change in policies and wipe out ineffectiveness, inefficiency and have a corrupt free government, we together need to vote for a new party to rule our government. The Barisan Nasional will never be able to change since it has already been incorporated in its 'blood'.

So, Malaysians, its all in your hands. Your vote will decide the future path of our country.

"MALAYSIANS BETTER OFF THAN FOUR YEARS AGO", SAYS SECOND FINANCE MINISTER TAN SRI NOR MOHAMED YAKCOP

Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop claims 'Malaysians better off then four years ago'. On what basis he is claiming puzzles most Malaysians.

It is true that the government revenue during the past years from mainly petroleum has arisen, since the current world market has exceeded more than USD100 per barrel. This means the government has more money to use.

But if you were to ask the ordinary rakyat, they all claim that with soaring consumer goods and services prices, they are feeling the pinch. The kampong Malays, Sabahans, Sarawakians, Indians and also Chinese when approached, claim that everything is going up and what they earn is just enough or may have to go without. So how is that, the claim that we are better off than four years ago.

Maybe, the Barisan Nasional politicians who are corrupted and UMNOputras who are frequently given 'hand-outs' to win their support by the government, maybe the basis used by this Second Finace Minister to make, this remark. Then, he should make it at an UMNO gathering and confine his claim to this group of privilege people.

It would be timely for the government to see that the excess income earned be made to subsidize consumer goods and services so that, it will benefit the rakyat on the whole.

Until and unless the rakyat can feel that they are better off, this claim made by Second Finance Minister is just a eye-wash to gain support for the current uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt Barisan Nasional government and an election gimmick.

PRIME MINISTER ABDULLAH - "I'M WORKING VERY HARD"

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was reported as saying that:

"It is God's will that I become the Prime Minister of Malaysia and I am very conscious that I have to serve the people although I personally do not benefit even one sen because of this............."

"Some of you can say that I'm not good, you can say whatever. But don't say that I don't work."

"I work very hard. I really mean it and you know it."

This seem to illustrate that our Prime Minister is trying his best to gain the respect of the rakyat although he had been branded ' a sleeping Prime Minister'. Various reports had portrayed pictures of him sleeping at official functions and there were a group that even when to the extend to give him pillows with his pictures of him sleeping.

No one denies that he is not performing his duties but how effective has he performed is the question that has been raised.

PM Abdullah has said that he wants every citizen to live in peace and harmony but it appears that UMNOputras can perform or do any sensitive acts, they are forgiven and not arrested and charged, but when non-UMNOputras do a similar act for the benefit to their own community, who are also Malaysians, they are arrested, attacked with acid water cannons, arrested and charged and even to the extend of using the ISA on them.

Why practice this double standards.

To gain the popularity and support of UMNO Divisional leaders, Millions were given in the way of awards but this similar scheme is not offered to the other communites when we all are Malaysians too.

There is a saying, preach what you say.

So, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, we all know you want what is best for the nation, but please do your duties, fairly and equally among all the communities in Malaysia.

Then only we can proudly say...you are doing your work.

NAJIB FINALLY ADMITS AFTER MUCH HESITATION THAT INDIANS ARE MARGINALISED

At last, the Barisan Nasional government after much hesitation have admitted that the plights of the Indian community has been neglected and agreed to resolve most of their grievences. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, on behalf of the BN government made this declaration and it is hoped by the non-bumiputras in the country that they will honour their words and not use this as a election gimmick.

The Indian community would only deliver their loyal votes to the BN if a concrete programme has been implemented before the general election.

We need to wait for the next few days to see what they have in stock for the Indians and also for their other counterparts, the chinese.
