KAYVEAS GIVES BARISAN NASIONAL ULTIMATUM - AMEND ISA OR PPP WILL QUIT

People's Progressive Party (PPP) President Datuk M. Kayveas today issued an ultimatum that if the Barisan Nasional leadership fails to amend the Internal Security Act (ISA), his party, the People's Progressive Party (PPP) which is considered a mosquito party within BN, will quit the BN coalition.

Datuk Kayveas claimed that his youth and ladies wings have expressed that the main failure of the BN at the 8 March general election defeat was the abuse of use of ISA on innocent Malaysians, while it should only be used for terrorist purposes.

Will the BN leadership consider this ultimatum from Datuk Kayveas?

Looking at the factors, Datuk Kayveas who has been shadowed after his known disastrous defeat at Taiping by the press and since a majority of PPP members seem to be unhappy with his leadership, may just ignore his plea and may be please with the departure of PPP since they are unable to contribute effective to the BN coalition.

DATUK ARIF SHAH OMAR SHAH TO 'CROSSOVER' TO PKR

It is widely speculated in Penang that Seberang Jaya BN (UMNO) Assemblyman Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, who contested against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Permatang Pauh parliamentary by-election and lost is crossing over to Parti KeAdilan Rakyat (PKR) since he had expressed his displeasure against the Penang State UMNO leadership recently.

It was further speculated that PKR will offer him the Deputy Chief Minister's position if he was to crossover which when confirm by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng stated that it was the prerogative of the PKR to decide.

Will Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah crossover?

PKR ASSEMBLY - NOTHING NEW

The First Annual Assembly of Parti KeAdilan Rakyat (PKR) which commenced yesterday witness nothing new and during the opening speech its leader and Opposition leader today mentioned nothing about his mission to form a new Opposition federal government and his failure to keep his 16 September promise.

The highlights of the assembly could be view thru: http://www.justin.tv/anwaribrahim

Another silent event that Malaysians have never expected.

What has happen to its NEW DAWN FOR MALAYSIANS.

KUALA TERENGGANU SETS ITSELF FOR A 'PESTA'

With the sudden death of their Member of Parliament, Kuala Terengganu is set for a pesta with numerous politicians from both sides, government and Opposition flocking to campaign for their respective candidates.

As usual, Barisan Nasional, the ruling government will have to promise various goodies just to win the hearts of the rakyat there.

The Opposition, the candidate from PAS will give the government a good challenge since the ruling government has many scandals still unsolved from Mongolian murder, petroleum prices, global economic crisis, UMNO crisis and many others which they seem to be covering-up or ignoring to disclose the extend of problems the rakyat is going to face.

But whatever said, Kuala Terengganu residents are going to be in the limelight and the business community is going to flourish during the campaigning period.

UMNO - 2/3 OF COMPLAINTS OF MONEY POLITICS INCORRECT

It was announced that 2/3 of the complaints on the use of money politics is just incorrect and just to create uneasiness among the UMNO candidates. UMNO Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor who spoke to reporters after a function at Putrajaya, claimed he was advised by the Investigation Committee on the outcome of their preliminary inquiry.

What is money politics and what forms it. Money politics is where a certain individual or group are offered physical cash or some form of monetary value for in return for his or her undivided support or vote.

Many reports have indicated that since cash is involved, the existence of such an act is impossible to be detected unless the receiver testifies receiving them.

Most often, these people are induced by foreign trips in the name of 'study trips' where their stay overseas is full taken care of.

It is a known syndrome in UMNO or BN that if there is no handouts the candidate would not survive any nomination or elections.

Taking for example at Kubang Pasu, delegates were given by the UMNO leadership handouts to ensure their ex-chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the former UMNO President and Prime Minister does not obtain sufficient nominations to be a delegate to attend the UMNO General Assembly. Now there are reports that BN lawmakers were paid handsomely so that they would not defect to the Opposition and to fail Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's mission of forming the federal government.

To overcome any investigation and to ensure only competent and reliable people are elected, all the members of UMNO or any other party should be allowed to be done. Then it would be impossible for someone to pay everyone.

Is UMNO going to open its door's to its members to elect its leaders or are they going to continue with this unhealthy and 'tested' corrupted practice? But whatever the final results, Malaysian especially ordinary UMNO members are fully aware that money politics is rampant and has eroded the true spirit and aspiration of the role of UMNO in our nation.

SAIFUL SUMMONED TO JAWI ON ANWAR'S CLAIM OF 'QAZAF'

At 11am this afternoon, Saiful Bukhari Azlan was seen entering the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) to answer the claim in regard to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's formal complaint on 9 July 2008 that Saiful Bukhari Azlan had committed qazaf (wrongfully accusing a chaste man or woman of adultery or homosexuality without four reliable witnesses).

Various events show that Saiful was not sodomised and was just instrumental in a cover-over for the benefit of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor. After repeated pressure Datuk Seri Najib finally admitted that Saiful visited him and his wife a few days before the police report of sodomy was made. Photographs showing these association were widely published in blogsites prior to Datuk Seri Najib's admission. Even the initial doctor who diagnosed Saiful had denied that he was sodomised.

While at a swearing ritual at the Federal Territory Mosque officiated by a newly appointed Imam, Ramlang Porigi, on 15 July 2008 (one day before Nomination Day for the Permatang Pauh by-election where Datuk Seri Anwar is a candidate),the swearing which was widely telecast to Permatang Pauh resident on a big screen and the Malaysian public, statements made were not consistent with his claim of sodomy. Even the said Iman had stated later that it was done under 'political pressure'.

To make matter worst, Saiful should have been arrested by the police or charged by JAWI for admitted a serious crime of sodomy although he may have voluntarily allowed to be sodomised which is a serious crime for any Muslim to commit. But to our surprise, Saiful had been afforded political protection for this criminal and religious offence.

Is this Malaysian style of justice been served- Criminals are free to move around and talk and innocents are jailed.

DATUK DR ABDUL SHUKOR HUSIN SHOULD BE SACKED IMMEDIATELY

The Chairman of the National Fatwa Council, Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin who had declared that yoga is haram (prohibited) in Islam and Muslims are banned from practising it without prior consent and approval from the Council of Rulers should be made accountable and his services terminated immediately.

Imposing a ruling is a serious matter and no excuses could be entertained for his lack of responsibility and showing disrespect to the Rulers.

Since having a responsible position and having made a mockery of the situation in Malaysia and in the International world, its time we make responsible public servants accountable for their action.

HARI RAYA HAJI ON 8 DECEMBER 2008

The Keeper of the Rulers Seal announced today in a press statement that Hari Raya Haji will be on 8 December 2008 for all states in Malaysia.

DAP MP FONG REVEALS MP TAJUDDIN'S 'SEXUAL INNUENDOS'

It was exposed today at the Dewan Rakyat that the Barisan Nasional (UMNO) MP for Pasir Salak, Tajuddin Abdul Rahman was accused of making sexual innuendos which according to Section 36(4) of the Standing Orders prohibits parliamentarians from using such offensive language in the Dewan.

Opposition (DAP) MP for Batu Gajah, Fong Po Kuan who evoked the Standing Orders against Tajuddin, claimed that Tajuddin had made the offensive remarks during yesterday's sitting when he uttered the words when attempting to interject Opposition (PAS) MP for Parit Buntar, Mujahid Yusof Rawa's debate on Opposition (DAP) MP for Serdang, Teo Nie Cheng's motion for a RM10 pay cut for Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein by saying, "Dia (Mujahid) tak masuk lagi, dah lama tak masuk. Main tepi saja" and "Bila nak keluar lagi air dia?"

The following is exchange between Tajuddin, Deputy Speaker Ronald Kiandee and Mujahid as was published in the Hansard.

Tajuddin: Oh, tak masuk lagi?

Kiandee: Dia tak bagi Yang Berhormat, tak bagi.

Tajuddin: Dia tak masuk lagi? Dah lama tak masuk-masuk. Main tepi saja.

Mujahid: Yang Berhormat Pasir Salak sabarlah.

Tajuddin: Bila nak keluar lagi air dia?

Tajuddin's sexual innuendo remarks were missed in the uproar he had sparked off when he called Opposition (DAP) MP for Ipoh Barat, M Kulasegaran “keling”, a derogatory term for Indians which after a retraction was let-off by the Deputy Dewan Speaker Ronald Kiandee.

Expressing disappointment with the conduct of parliamentarians, Deputy Speaker Wan Junaidi Jaafar informed that he would need to refer to the presiding Deputy Speaker Ronald Kiandee to take further action since he had presided over yesterday’s session.

It was further reveal that earlier this month, Tajuddin had escaped punishment for calling Opposition (DAP) MP for Ipoh Barat Kulasegaran a 'bloody bastard' in the House.

Since this MP Tajuddin had uttered offensive language a number of times, he should be banned until the next general elections from attending the parliament sittings and he should not be paid any MP's allowance and arrested and charged under the laws of Malaysia.

Will the Dewan Rakyat do it to uphold justice and to show respect to this Dewan?

PM DATUK SERI ABDULLAH - KEEP DOING YOUR YOGA

The National Fatwa Council had last week announced that YOGA is banned for Muslims in Malaysia since there is a element of the Hinduism religion attach to it. This had created certain quarters to express the sentiments in the multi-religious and multi-cultural Malaysian society.

But to the surprise of most Malaysians, the Sultans of Selangor and Perak have instructed their respective Fatwa Councils to study in depth this most popular healthy exercise before following and enforcing the ruling.

The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today announced that the ruling has been waived as long as there is no elements of Hindu worship or mantras, then Muslims can continue practising yoga while PM Datuk Seri Abdullah underscored the fact that yoga is good for health.

PM Datuk Seri Abdullah further urged all quarters to understand the content of the yoga fatwa issued by the National Fatwa Council and not twist facts which could cause confusion among the multi-religious Malaysian society.

INDIANS CELEBRATE FIRST HINDRAF ANIVERSARY

A year ago, 25 November 2007, more than 30,000 Malaysian Indians gathered at Kuala Lumpur on a mass peaceful street protest to expressed their dissatisfaction against the Barisan Nasional government for neglecting and marginalising the Indian community in Malaysia. A good number of peaceful protestors were arrested and taken to court while 5 leaders of HINDRAF were detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) and are still detained despite request from its own ruling coalition partners, MIC and Gerakan, for their release.

Prayers were held at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Batu Caves, Selangor where about 500 Indians braved the rain to attend the special prayer ceremony. Among the VIP attended were PKR's Kapar MP and former Hindraf activist S Manikavasagam, Selangor State Exco member Dr Xavier Jeyakumar, Teluk Intan MP M Manogaran and Police Watch and Human Rights Committee coordinator S Jayathas.

Police presence were minimal while the crowd dispersed at 9.30pm after the prayers.

In Penang, about 1,000 Indians converged at Butterworth's Sri Maha Mariamman Alayam for a special prayer. Among the VIP present were Penang Deputy Chief Minister P Ramasamy, Hindraf coordinator RS Thanenthiran, State Executive Councillors Lim Hock Seng and Phee Boon Poh.

MALAYSIANS BEEN 'SHORT-CHANGED' BY THE GOVERNMENT

Mainstream medias seem to be reporting that Malaysians can expect a further 15 sen cut in petroleum prices sometime by the end of this month. World crude oil prices seem to be plunging below record prices which clearly indicate that petroleum prices will have to be reduced by our government. Some astonished factors have also been revealed by certain quarters like Malaysians are paying the price of subsidy which the government claims it is offering to the rakyat since we are an oil producing country and our Petronas is making huge profits. There were certain quarters who even tabulated the price that should be at the pump but our government seems to undermine these sources. But whatever the circumstances, we Malaysians will see a further reduction at the end of this month.

Since last year the government has been assuring us that certain amount have been allocated for transport infrastructure development and improvement but to date Malaysians have not seen or heard anything. What has happen to these funds. The BN government is accountable and will have to reveal where these funds have been utilised. Our transport infrastructure is still somewhat the same and with almost more than a year, we Malaysians need to demand an account of where, what and how much has been spent so far.

From these details it seem we Malaysians are short changed by this BN government.

Can we trust our BN government anymore and any longer?

SYED HAMID ALBAR SUGGEST BLOGGERS TO FORMULATE THEIR OWN CODE OF ETHICS

Its reported today that Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar had stated that bloggers need to formulate their own Code of Ethics.

Datuk Seri Syed Hamid fail to realise that bloggers have been keeping Malaysians informed of the latest news which the mainstream medias fail to report or fear to reveal. This could be seen from the number of visitors and readers surfing the popular blogsites.

Bloggers are very ethical and responsible in their postings and have given the readers the truth while most affected persons have tried their level best to curb by detaining these bloggers by using the police force under the Internal Security Act (ISA) in the name of national security or through the Sedition Act by claiming the article has been seditious in nature. These irresponsible officials fail to realise that the TRUTH REALLY HURTS.

Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar or his comrades must take responsibility of their actions and since they are responsible to the Malaysians for their wrongful acts would have to tender their resignation and face appropriate action.

Will Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar and his comrades undertake this before preaching others what to do.

WILL NAJIB BECOME PRIME MINISTER OR ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI CONTINUE AS PRIME MINISTER

It is widely reported that Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak had secured 99.9% of the nominations and by UMNO Rules, will be the next President of UMNO and by convention the next Prime Minister of Malaysia.

But to assume these roles, Datuk Seri Najib would have to wait until March 2009.

There are also speculations that incumbent UMNO President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi may continue to hold these positions until his term of office ends or when the confidence of the people is lost against him.

Why is the doubt?

Recent decisions on the Mongolian murder and the release of star witness Abdul Razak Baginda have given doubts whether Datuk Seri Najib will become Prime Minister since various statements and reports speaks otherwise.

Another factor is Money Politics is the recent UMNO meetings. Was Datuk Seri Najib involved in this act. From information available it indicates that Datuk Seri Najib must have used them to secure such a huge victory. Here when we say money politics it just not giving out cash to delegates. There are many other forms that we need to consider which everyone knows what I am speaking about.

If Datuk Seri Najib is found to have committed any of these acts, his nomination will fail and will be disqualified from contest.

Then the current incumbent will remain.

Why can't this happen?

SYED HAMID ALBAR - PI BALASUBRAMINIAM POLICE STATEMENT RECORDED IN BANGKOK ON 7 JULY 2008

In a Parliamentary written reply to MP for Batu (PKR) Tian Chua dated 13 November 2008, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar stated that the police had met Private Investigator Balasubramaniam at Bangkok on 7 July 2008 to record his statement and after that incident PI Balasubramaniam's whereabouts are unknown. But however, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid wrote that investigation have been completed on him making a false statutory declaration which will be dealt with under Section 199 of the Penal Code.

Balasubramaniam is a prime witness in the murder trial of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu and his controversial statutory declaration claiming that there was a link between Altantuya and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak which was on the following day retracted has cause much suspicion since he is 'missing' together with his whole family and whether this act has been 'politically' forced to be done so as to 'cover-up' the murder inquiry.

What surprises most Malaysians is the 'silence and cover-up' of the authorities on the whereabouts of PI Balasubramaniam, who would be able to give a detail account on the murder and the personalities involved.

RAFIDAH & SHAHRIZAT - THE BATTLE IS ON

It has been reported today that Tan Sri Rafidah Abdul Aziz has accepted the challenge from her deputy, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil despite their earlier compromise not to contest against each other even though after receiving enough nominations and to accept the agreed transition plan to take place in June 2009.

With the battle on, Tan Sri Rafidah have been quoted as saying that if she is victorious she would complete another term in office.

It seems that the UMNO Wanita wings would see a stiff competition since both candidates are very influential personalities.

RAZAK BAGINDA - NAJIB OR ROSMAH NOT INVOLVED

It is widely reported today that Abdul Razak Baginda, who was acquitted after a 22 month detention for the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu while pending trial, revealed during his first press conference yesterday after his release that Deputy Prime Minister or aspiring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor are not involved in the murder.

When pose many questions, Abdul Razak Baginda repeated his quote that Datuk Seri Najib and Rosmah were not involved and claimed that Datuk Seri Najib does not know or have met her. Abdul Razak Baginda further claimed that he will be departing to Oxford University at United Kingdom to complete his PhD studies.

What surprises most Malaysians is that even after two Statutory Declarations which is still in doubt since the police have not finalised their findings, the Shah Alam High Court had acquitted Abdul Razak Baginda. Furthermore, the prime suspect in the case is Abdul Razak Baginda who would be able to give insider information on the murder.

The 'surprising' judgement by the Shah Alam High Court on 31 October 2008 seem to be politically motivated since top politicians and their family are involved. Attempts to summon DPM Datuk Seri Najib and his wife, Rosmah to testify had been turned down by the Court.

But whatever the circumstances, Malaysians and the International world still have no confidence in the justice system in Malaysia.

Where is outgoing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's judicial reforms?

SHAHRIZAT TO CHALLENGE RAFIDAH FOR UMNO WANITA CHIEF POST

It is reported today that Wanita UMNO deputy chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil had announced that she will contest for the wing's top post at the coming March 2009 UMNO elections against incumbent Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz.

It was earlier reported that these two candidates have agreed not to contest and to keep to their agreement of a transition in June 2009. But many quarters had hoped that the transition should take place in March but Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz is adamant it will be in June. UMNO President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had been reported to be making an effort to find a peaceful settlement between these two top UMNO Wanita leaders.

Will Datuk Seri Shahrizat fight against Tan Sri Rafidah?

MALAYSIAN POLICE FORCE BRUTALITY EXPOSED

Dian Abdullah speaks on how she was brutally assaulted by the police during an ISA Candlelight Vigil at the Civic Centre at Petaling Jaya recently while the national anthem 'Negara-ku' was sung together with her son and others. She described the incident where the police brutally assaulted and arrested her by pulling her from behind causing her to fall and sustain injury to her head with a cut that needed 4 stitches.

Is the police still disclaiming their forceful brutality at this peaceful assembly?

TENGKU ADNAN : 5 UMNO DIVISIONS FAIL TO HOLD THEIR DIVISIONAL MEETINGS

It was reported that UMNO Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor had stated that 5 UMNO Divisions had fail to hold their divisional meetings or their respective meetings have been declared void due to internal crisis. The divisions involved are Larut, Tenom, Pengkalan Chepa, Seremban and Tanah Merah.

As of close of 9 November 2008, only 186 UMNO Divisions have successfully concluded their meetings.

In the case of UMNO Division Tanah Merah Kelantan, Amran Abdul Rahman the Divisional Secretary had made a police report that the UMNO headquarters had infringed their powers in meddling with the divisional grouse.

While in Larut, Perak there was a dispute on the validity of a newcomer from a another division, MP for Larut Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin who had contested as the divisional chief with the blessing of the UMNO headquarters.

In the case of Batu, Kuala Lumpur the division is unhappy with the election of the Divisional chief.

While in the case of Seremban, Negeri Sembilan there was in-fighting while the meeting was in progress.

There were even reports of rampant use of money to buy votes from divisions, which the leadership is investigating and a report will be tabled soon.

Meanwhile, Tengku Adnan claimed that he was just carrying out his duties as instructed by the UMNO leadership.

TAIB MAHMUD SHOULD STEP DOWN NOW AS SARAWAK CHIEF MINISTER

It has been reported that most Sarawakians want their current Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud to step down immediately since he has been on the 'hot seat' for such a long time of almost 27 years since 1981.

There has been widespread comments of corruption, cronyism and nepotism in his administration.

Its time for Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud to retire and allow a younger and energetic Sarawakian to spearhead Sarawak into the next decade with development that most Sarawakians are expecting to see.

In recent weeks, there were certain groups calling for Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud's resignation but it was all 'turn-down' by pressure from the 'powerful' Chief Minister.

Will Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud respond to this call and retire or keep continuing in administrating the Sarawak State with his dictatorship and corrupt administration.

ABDUL RAZAK BAGINDA A 'FREE-MAN' DUE TO NO APPEAL

It has been reported that the Attorney-General's Chambers are not appealing against the Shah Alam High Court decision to acquit political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda, who had been charged with abetting in the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The Prosecution has 14 days from the ruling date of October 31, 2008 to file an appeal but investigations made at the Court Registry up to 5 pm today indicate no appeal has been filed. However, Deputy Public Prosecutor Tun Majid Tun Hamzah was stated as saying today that the court had made a finding of fact and he confirmed that the prosecution would not file an appeal.

This case has received enormous coverage since Deputy Prime Minister or Prime Minister-in-waiting Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor have been somewhat implicated to be involved and the only person to bring to light about their involvement would only be possible through Abdul Razak Baginda, although two Statutory Declarations from Raja Petra Kamaruddin and Private Investigator Bala Subramaniam have mentioned the possible connection in the murder.

The Judge in his written ruling had acquitted Abdul Razak Baginda on the grounds that “Once the essential elements of abetment - by instigation, by conspiracy and by aiding - [...] are not proven on the basis of prima facie evidence, any other inferences and doubts that may have arisen must be resolved, as is trite, in favour of the accused person.

“It is not for the court to call for the defence merely to clear or clarify such doubts [...] I find there is no prima facie case for him (Abdul Razak, left) to answer his charge...”

However, the Judge ordered Special Action Squad police officers Azilah Hadri, 32, and Sirul Azhar Umar, 38, to enter their defence.

It is in the minds of Malaysians that this is a politically motivated decision and the surprise that the Prosecution had fail to file their appeal has 'spoken for itself'.

UMNO DILEMMA - WILL THERE BE A ELECTION IN MARCH 2009?

After all the UMNO Divisions had completed their meetings and having nominated their suitable candidates for the party post, UMNO should be heading for a election in March 2009 as scheduled.

But to the surprise of many, it seems at every level there was money politics involved and since this is a crime, the nominated candidates may even lose their rights to stand at the March 2009 UMNO elections.

The UMNO leadership had demanded their disciplinary committee to expedite their investigations and inform the leadership on the list of candidates involved in money politics. But how reliable and independent is this disciplinary body going to be. Will they be corrupted too? The most sensible thing for UMNOputras to do would be to appoint an independent and neutral group to investigate and prepare their findings.

It has been revealed that every candidate is involved in this money politics and it looks as though UMNO will have to take a stern action against all these candidates nominated.

Just disqualifying their candidacy alone would not be sufficient. These members should be expelled from the party and should be banned from participating in politics for at least 10 years. In this way, we can eradicate the 'bad-hats' once and for all.

Another area of interest would be using their 'ministerial position' to garner votes. Although this gives a edge to the Cabinet members, similarly like giving money, these candidates should also be disqualified.

If taking every matter above into consideration, it would seem that every eligible candidate would be disqualified from contesting and the most sensible thing for innocent UMNOputras to do would be to dissolve UMNO once and for all to get rid of this menace and those who are politically greedy in enriching themselves by these dubious calculative manner.

Will UMNOputras use their position to correct this situation or let these culprits continue with this menace?

RONNIE LIU ARRESTED & TO BE CHARGED FOR OBSTRUCTING PUBLIC SERVANTS FROM DISCHARGING THEIR DUTIES

Selangor Executive Councillor Ronnie Liu, State Assemblyman for Pandamaran was arrested at the State Secretariat building in Shah Alam was detained by several plainclothes and uniformed policemen at the entrance of the building at around 2pm this afternoon.

Liu, who was suppose to attend the weekly state cabinet meeting, was escorted to the Puchong police station without clearly explaining their so-called arrested and had acted 'rudely' and it was later learned that it was in connection with a report filed against him for allegedly obstructing Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) enforcement officers from carrying out their duties during an anti-vice raid on a hotel in Puchong last year but did not resist being arrest since the police had an arrest warrant at hand.

Ronnie Liu was later released on a personal bond of RM2,000 by his elder brother as a guarantor at about 3.15pm and was asked to appear at the PJ magistrate's court on Monday where he is expected to be charged.

However, Ronnie Liu informed that he is innocent. The Police on the other hand confirmed that Liu would be charged under Section 186 of the Penal Code with obstructing public servants from discharging their duty and is punishable with a jail term of up to three months, or a maximum fine of RM1,000 or both if convicted.

It was learned that this controversy is over Liu's alleged role in the hotel raid cropped up after it was revealed by former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo six months ago.

But Liu filed a defamation suit against Datuk Seri Dr Khir, who is now the Opposition leader in the Selangor State Assembly and in the suit, which was filed on Oct 5, Liu claimed that Datuk Seri Dr Khir had defamed him by describing him as immoral and being involved in vice activities while Datuk Seri Dr Khir had in May accused Liu of obstructing the raid and therefore argued that the DAP leader was not fit to be in charge of the state's local government. However, Liu had denied the allegation.

POLICE CONTINUE TO LIE...AND LIE....AND LIE

It has been reported that the police have once again LIED to cover-up their fiasco by denying that they had detained 24 members of the public which included Oppositions leaders while the national anthem was sung during a BERSIH candlelight vigil last night. The evidence is in this video : http://www.malaysiakini.tv/video/16409 or http://pray-for-malaysia.blogspot.com/2008/11/police-chief-lying-regarding-bersih.html.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today defended police action at the illegal gathering in Petaling Jaya yesterday by claiming that the police were just doing their job in ensuring that public order was maintained.

It was reported that yesterday, police dispersed an illegal gathering of about 200 people at the Petaling Jaya Civic Centre and arrested 24 people including Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Phua, Selangor executive councillor Ronnie Liu and Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lau Weng San which also included Malaysiakini videographer Syukri Mohamad. But this morning all of them were released on police bail.

It seems very clear that the police practice DOUBLE STANDARDS in enforcing the law. During the recent pro-government groups who protested against the appointment of a non-Malay to head PKNS (Selangor government investment arm), nothing was done which was similar to this.

Its time the police are made accountable for their UNFAIR actions.

UMNO fears that the rakyat would get to know their 'secret' in keeping the ISA, which the rakyat feels is UMNO's way to frighten and dominate non-UMNOputra Malaysians.

DATUK AHMAD ISMAIL SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY DETAINED UNDER INTERNAL SECURITY ACT (ISA) FOR BEING CLASSIFIED AN 'UMNO HERO'

It was reported in theStar that suspended UMNO member and former Bukit Bendera UMNO Divisional Chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail was given a warrior’s welcome, complete with presentation of regalia such as a keris (traditional Malay sword), when he turned up for the division’s delegates conference today.

The UMNO Supreme Council had suspended and stripped off all Datuk Ahmad Ismail's UMNO position for three years following an uproar over race-related statements he made in a ceramah (political address) in Permatang Pauh where he had referred to the Chinese Community in Malaysia a 'mere squatters' or pendatang (immigrants). Datuk Ahmad had also instigated his supporters to tear and condemn former Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon's picture in public.

This new incident demonstrates that Datuk Ahmad Ismail is defying the government ruling and his continued presence in being classified as a 'UMNO hero' should be arrested and detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) to deter other Malaysians from following his footsteps.

Will the government arrest and detain him under ISA in the name of public security?

Or will it be that UMNOputras can do and say anything....but nothing happens.

NEW CJ ZAKI COMMITS CRIME, SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND CHARGED IN COURT

The new Chief Justice Tan Sri Zaki Azmi who had been hurdled into this highest office in the judiciary due to his assistance for having been a loyal subject of the ruling party UMNO, was appointed despite various criticisms levelled against him from personal matters to political affiliation despite assurances from outgoing in March 2009 Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to reform the judiciary to the expectations of rakyat, Bar and the international legal community.

Yesterday it was reported in the New Straits Times that :

In an incident in 1987, where he was “blacklisted” when he complained to the Chief Registrar of two missing files belonging to his clients.

“It took me six months to be nice, to bribe each and every individual to get back into their good books before our files were being attended to.

“That was my personal experience, and I am telling this to all the clerks and all the registries to stop this nonsense and I know this is happening,” Zaki was quoted as saying.

This current disclosure by the Chief Justice Tan Sri Zaki clearly is an act of crime and the relevant authorities need to ARREST and CHARGE him in Court without any further delay. Since this crime is criminal, there is no time limitation been imposed.

It need to be expressed that to give and to take a bribe is a CRIME and no one should be spared since this admission. CJ Tan Sri Zaki would be compel to disclose the persons responsible for having taken the bribes so that justice could be effectively administered with no waste of public funds.

Finally, the truth reveals that our judiciary system is fully corrupt and dominated by the Executive, mainly from UMNO and as Stakeholders, the rakyat need to demand the government to immediately form a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate and create reforms to eradicate any fears that the rakyat have with the judiciary.

Its time for rakyat to elect the Judges since they serve and are remunerated by the rakyat. This will discard any form of favouritism.

Will the outgoing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah heal to this public demand and ensure that CJ Tan Sri Zaki is arrested and charged for this bribery crime.

ALI RUSTAM QUALIFIES FOR DEPUTY UMNO POST

It has been reported that Datuk Seri Ali Rustam has secured 39 nominations making him eligible to contest the UMNO Deputy President's post in the coming March UMNO Assembly.

So far, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has so far secured 83 nominations.

Since there are UMNO Divisional Meeting schedule today and tomorrow, the final outcome of candidates eligible will be known.

Its also reported that Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib would only require another 3 nominations to make himself eligible to contest the deputy post.

Since there are talks of money politics rampantly involved this time, it would be rightful that candidates concerned are barred from contest, irrespective whether they are the only eligible candidate.

ALTANTUYA SHAARIIBUU MURDER COURT DECISION - REACHING EMBARRASSING LEVELS

The recent decision of the Shah Alam High Court on ALTANTUYA Shaariibuu Murder case where the court on October 31, 2008 had acquitted Abdul Razak Baginda seems to be receiving very embarrassment international concerns that the Executive seem to be dominating the decision of the judiciary in this controversial case. The news of concern is : http://www.montsame.mn/index.php?option=com_news&mt=normal_news&tab=200811&task=news_detail&ne=347.

Its time the presiding Judge is suspended until the case is disposed-off.

To be fair, every person connected with the case need to be immediately arrested and held in prison until the disposal of the case. It does not matter whether the person is going to be the next Prime Minister.

Abdul Razak Baginda need to be re-arrested and held in prison since various factors point to the fact that he has a deep connection on how, who and what had happen and concealing this truth seem to delay the course of justice and waste of public funds.

The Malaysian government's direct involvement by delaying and avoiding matters pertaining to this case has been strongly criticised and the government need to be punished for embarrassing every Malaysian citizen. The best avenue for the government would be to resign rather than trying to defend their claim.

The time for Malaysians to demand the police, judiciary and government to take heal of this situation and arrest all concern parties and expedite the case with fairness. It would be much better if a foreign independent judge is appointed to show our sincerity in arriving at the truth.

Will our government heal our embarrassing state?

MALAYSIA NEEDS A NEW BREED OF POLITICIANS

Malaysian political leaders will have to understand that Malaysians have been patient with all their 'bullshit' for such a long time, that a new personal undertaking be made that if there is any doubt that they are corrupt, incompetent, useless and unreliable, they will be SACKED and would not be allowed to participate in politics for at least 10 years.

This new undertaking will create a brand new breed of politicians who will undertake this position will care and responsibility.

The word 'YB or Yang Berhormat or even YAB or Yang Amat Berhormat should also be scrapped, since the real YB or Yang Berhormats are the rakyat, who had voted them into power.

All politicians should also not be conferred any honours or titles since it is their profession and responsibility to serve the rakyat, for which they are paid accordingly.

Bank accounts of politicians and their immediate families must be within the scrutiny of any member of the rakyat at any time so that the element of corruption could be detected easily.

Members of the Cabinet should only be paid RM1,000 and politicians paid RM500 per month to discourage crooks from gaining entrance and exploiting the system. Actual expenses incurred in the cost of duty should be reimbursed.

Politicians should only be appointed to one position so that they can be made liable and in turn would fully concentrate with their duties.

Selection of Cabinet members must be through a separate polls. This will create a capable and reliable persons entrusted with the duties. These Cabinet members will only be allowed to serve for two terms in Cabinet, to ensure no dictatorship or corruption will suffice.

If all these new proposal are incorporated, it is for sure, we will never hear or see irresponsible, incapable and incompetent people elected as Politicians or Cabinet members.

The time we look at this seriously and demand a CHANGE.

MONEY POLITICS - UMNO WAY OF LIFE

With the rampant use of money to secure nominations from UMNO Divisional representatives, this menace would remain and be intact with UMNO due to historical reasons.

As is popularly known, every eligible Malaysian who joins UMNO has a perception that they can build their fortunes by being its leader or branch or divisional representatives. Certain past events speaks for itself.

About two years ago, every UMNO Divisional leaders were accorded a few Millions in the name of Development budget by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to secure their support and continued confidence. UMNO Divisional leaders are accorded similar status as elected representatives with 'allocations' to enrich themselves and their cronies. There were instances where 'payments' were made to oust incumbent delegates, referring to Tun Dr Mahathir's case at Kubang Pasu.

Now, there are complaints that money politics is so rampant that even Divisional representatives are given. Previously only Divisional leaders were accorded such privileges. Now we can understand the grave root to the problem that UMNO had invented but nothing has been seen to be undertaken to wipe out this menace which will be embroiled in the Malaysian political arena for years to come.

It was reported that UMNO disciplinary board monitoring committee have identified candidates for the March 2009 party elections who are involved in money politics and abuse of power according to its board’s Chairman Tengku Tan Sri Ahmad Rithauddeen Tengku Ismail in a statement recently.

But as usual, Malaysian style, the excuse would be the Board was now in the process of gathering evidence and witnesses to facilitate investigations and if in the end they are found guilty, they will lose the eligibility to contest or, if they won, their victory can be nullified are mere statements just to sweep these rumours under the carpet.

Nothing firm will be undertaken. Maybe to please the masses some 'scapegoats' would not be spared. The real culprits would not be punished in fear of repercussions.

Maybe the only way this menace can be eradicated is to 'ban UMNO' or deregister UMNO permanently.

Then every Malaysian problem could be resolved.

Are UMNOputras ready to accept this outcome?

With another 29 divisions who will need to hold their divisional meetings by 9 November, the chances seems very favourable and could be reached.

Tan Sri Muhammad had quoted at a press conference that he was sabotaged by certain quarters that divisions were informed that he was pulling-out of the race. Tan Sri Muhammad, who is Rural and Regional Development Minister had denied any such attempt.

Will Tan Sri Muhammad obtain the required 10 nominations to be eligible to contest the Deputy President's post?

UMNO ELECTIONS - IS MONEY POLITICS INVOLVED?

With stunning and unrecorded victories recorded at the UMNO Divisional nominations for certain key leaders, and with a wide-spread rumours that money have been used to induce to buy these votes, its time for the UMNO leadership to look at these allegations and declare the nominations for these candidates as 'unacceptable' and declared void, while taking disciplinary action by suspending their membership, making them unable to contest in the March 2009 UMNO General Assembly.

Since the commencement of the UMNO nominations at the Divisional Meetings, there were statement made by certain top leaders in UMNO that money politics was rampant. To kick start, Datuk Seri Utama Rais Yatim had informed that he was aware that money had been used to buy votes with this time around even everyone was taken into account unlike previous occasions.

Now, another presidential candidate who had only garner 1 vote, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah had stated that he is aware that more than 50 divisions have demanded payments for votes.

Its time UMNO President Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi investigate this matter and declare all divisional nominations as void to ensure a clean, reliable and honest election takes place.

When will this happen?
