DATUK SERI ONG TEE KEAT SHOULD RESIGN AS PROMISED DESPITE APPEAL FROM MCA CC

Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat had before the last EGM assured the MCA members and public that he would resign if he fail to obtain the confidence of the MCA delegates in his struggle to ensure that decisions made in expulling Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek by his Committee be held.

The EGM had decided that the expulsion of Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek is illegal and null and void, making room that MCA President Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat would have to honour his undertaking to resign.

Yesterday's MCA CC Meeting had resolved that Datuk Seri Ong will remain as MCA President until the MCA holds a fresh elections or give him the confidence to administer the MCA.

MCA being the second largest party in the BN coalition is now faced with a leadership crisis and with the continue presence of leaders who do not keep their words will further erode the trust and confidence MCA members have with the party.

It is for sure that the MCA will not vote for leaders who do not keep their promise and undertaking.

Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat should graceful resign to ensure a smooth transition and to ensure the continued survival of the MCA who will be able to ensure the continued survival of the Chinese community in Malaysia.
