DAP's SIVASUBRAMANIAM QUITS DAP IN PERAK

The newly elected DAP Buntong State Assemblyman A. Sivasubramaniam has resigned from the party in protest of a promise made that there will be 2 State Executive Councillors from the Indian community. He has tendered his resignation letter to DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng claiming that DAP Perak chief Ngeh Khoo Ham had breached his promise to appoint two exco members from the Indian community since the victory of the Opposition State government was also due to Makkal Shakti. With Sivasubramaniam's departure, the State Opposition has 30 out of 59 members which leaves their position in a critical situation.

In a further development, it has been revealed that a newcomer Indian member just before election has been proposed a Senator's appointment in Penang whereby depriving other long-term and committed members. The basis used was that this newcomer will be able to put alot of Indian members from GERAKAN since his father is the Vice President, Senator and former Parliament Secretary from Gerakan.

Its time for DAP to address the Indian situation before it gets out of hand. The Indian community wants promises kept and feel that just trying to be a 'good mate' no longer works.

Its all up to the DAP to fullfill their election promises.

SAMY VELLU DEMANDS RELEASE OF HINDRAF 5 FROM ISA IMMEDIATELY

In a surprise of event, it was reported today that Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu will be meeting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to immediately release the HINDRAF 5 from ISA detention held at Kamunting.

It must be a great sense of relief for the families of these detainees and self exile, P Wathyamoorthy, that they can be united with their families.

Although this call may have come too late for the political survival of Datuk Seri Samy Vellu, admitting his greatest failure for not standing together with his community in their struggle for not being discriminated and raising the issue of the plights of Indians.

It is hope that the BN government will release these innocent political detainees within the next few days.

Let's wait and see whether Datuk Seri Samy Vellu has any more political power to demand the release since MIC is an equal partner and 'big brother' of the Barisan Nasional.

Selangor has finally decided that effective 1 June 2008, the households of water in Selangor will receive 20 cubic metres of FREE water monthly as pledged by the present State Opposition government. This was announced today by the Menteri Besar's office. This reduces the burden of the Selangor rakyat.

It was further advised that residents in Selangor should try not to waste water since the cost of of production is extremely high.

At last, the Selangor Opposition government has kept their election promise on the water matter.

PRIME MINISTER AND UMNO/BARISAN NASIONAL PRESIDENT DATUK SERI ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI TO MEET SABAH ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES TO DISCUSS

It is been reported that the UMNO Supreme Council Meeting concluded yesterday also resolved that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi would be meeting with all the elected Barisan Nasional representatives in Sabah in wave of rumours that there is a indication that they all would be crossing-over to the Opposition party in displeasure and unfair treatment by the leadership.

Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman have been reported as saying this intended meeting will be held soon but did not elaborate on any details why such a meeting is taking place.

Of late there is alot of rumours spreading that since East Malaysians comprise more than 40% of the elected representatives that had allowed BN to gain the slim majority to regain its power but the composite of PM Datuk Seri Abdullah's cabinet does not reflect this nature and that the BN is just sidelining the people from this region. There were also rumours that cabinet members were going to resign in wave of the displeasure voiced by Sabahans and Sarawakians.

We need to wait and see what transpires at this schedule meeting to comment further.

UMNO SUPREME COUNCIL DECIDES ON 16 DECEMBER 2008 FOR ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND HAD ENDORSED DATUK AHMAD SAID AS MENTERI BESAR OF TERENGGANU

The UMNO Supreme Council that met at 3pm today unanimously endorsed Datuk Ahmad Said as the Menteri Besar of Terengganu and that the Annual General Assembly be fixed on 16 December 2008 to 20 December 2008 where elections for every post will be carried out, if contested.

With this development, branches will hold their respective polls effective 17 July 2008.

There were no other comments as yet regarding Tengku Razaleigh's 11 May proposal at this moment of time.

It is for sure that UMNO must have discussed the disastrous defeat during the recently concluded general elections, but comments have not be made public yet.

Will PM Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his group face a tough UMNO elections?

UMNO SUPREME COUNCIL MEETS TODAY TO RESOLVE IMPORTANT ISSUES

UMNO Supreme Council is expected to meet today at 3pm to discuss on various issues. Among the top of the list is the appointment of the Terengganu Menteri Besar. It is also learned that UMNO is also going to discuss the issue of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah's EGM proposal of May 11, Datuk Ghapur Salleh's 'unexpected' resignation from the cabinet and fears of many BN elected representatives cross-over to the Opposition.

It is reported that PM Datuk Seri Abdullah had met the Yang Dipertuan Agong to discuss the issue of the status of Menteri Besar of Terengganu. It seems that Datuk Seri Abdullah has agreed to retain Palace appointed Datuk Ahmad Said as the new Menteri Besar despite the protest by the 22 UMNO elected representatives who want Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh and further the Palace has agreed as a compromise to appoint Chukai State Assemblyperson Datuk Muhamad Awang Tera as the Deputy Menteri Besar.

It is also reported that the Palace is expected to strip the title of Datukship from Idris Jusoh and State Umno secretary Rosol Wahid for showing disrespect to the Palace.

We need to await the outcome of the meeting to conclude the fate of UMNO and its Barisan Nasional.

If UMNO and BN does not resolve the current major issues, BN is expected to be TOPPLED, since most members feel that they seem 'weak' and 'no longer powerful' to command any respect from anyone.

Will the meeting be meaningfull in resolving pending important issues.

DATUK GHAPUR SALLEH QUITS CABINET POST JUST WITHIN DAYS OF APPOINTMENT

Its confirm that Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Datuk Ghapur Salleh from Sabah has tendered his resignation just eight days after accepting his appointment from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Ghapur, the Kalabakan MP and Kalabakan Umno chief, informed that he had sent his resignation letter at about 7.30pm yesterday to the Prime Minister’s office.

There seems to be a political 'tsunami' being taking place and speculations are that many BN elected representatives will be crossing over to the Opposition since they find that PM Datuk Seri Abdullah administration is 'weak' and 'unsure' of its continuance and existence.

It is expected that Sabah and Sarawak MP are in a move to cross-over to TOPPLE the present Barisan Nasional government.

They all agree that BN had always been UNCARING, INEFFECTIVE, INEFFICIENT and CORRUPT and they all do not want to be associated with them. Since East Malaysians represent at least 40% of the strength of BN, but the composite of the federal government does not indicate such a scene, but is control by leaders from Peninsula Malaysia. It was further reported that PM Datuk Seri Abdullah was at all material times not making any decisions and it was done by Khairy Jamaluddin, his son-in-law, his family and his so-called '4th floor'.

SELANGOR WATER AGREEMENTS TO BE DECIDED THIS FRIDAY - TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE

It has been reported that Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim after chairing his State Executive Council Meeting today will announce his decision on the water agreement this friday whether the State is going to accept or decline the agreements entered with Puncak Niaga Holding Sdn Bhd and another, which was signed by the previous Barisan Nasional government on the eve of polling day on 7 March 2008.

As usual, since the Barisan Nasional government is a 'corrupt' government who does not care for the rakyat of Selangor, initial indication reveal that it would not be beneficial in the interest of the rakyat of Selangor on a long term. However, it needs to be addressed that Selangor requires to find a new source of water to meet the demands of the over-growing population, and the best source is only available in Pahang which has an abundance of it.

In another development it was reported that Energy, Water and Telecommunications Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor claimed yesterday that the water agreements were binding between the parties concerned.
However, since it is found to be 'one-sided' and if further negotiations fails, it has been decided that Tan Sri Khalid may make a full disclosure to the rakyat of Selangor to evaluate these agreements and decide whether they are in favour or not.
We need to wait until this friday for the outcome.

EDUCATION MINISTRY ISSUES VERBAL DIRECTIVE OF SABOTAGE AGAINST OPPOSITION STATE GOVERNMENTS

It is been reported in ANILNETTO.COM that the Ministry of Education under the charge of 'keris waving man' Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein had issued a directive (verbal to protect himself and his uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt Barisan Nasional government) that Opposition States should not invite state leaders for any official school functions.

Look how LOW our BN government is behaving. The rakyat should demand our 'sleeping' Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to SACK Hishammuddin immediately for this unreasonable action.

The article is:

PENANG SCHOOL HEADS TOLD NOT TO INVITE STATE GOVT LEADERS AS VIPs

School heads in Penang have been instructed or “advised” not to invite State Government leaders and elected representatives from the DAP-PKR as VIPs and guests-of-honour. The message was conveyed during a briefing last Wednesday by a senior official from the Penang Education Department, which comes under the federal-level Education Ministry.

The directive/”advice” to play on the safe-side was made verbally (and not in writing), according to a principal of a school in Penang and confirmed by another senior staff member from the same school. They were understandably indignant at the ruling.

This just shows the kind of small-mindedness among certain Education Dept/Ministry officials. I believe even DAP-PKR state assembly members who are not holding exco posts may now not be invited as VIPs/guests-of-honour to schools.

Take a look at this year’s Penang Schools Sports Council (MSSPP) meet, which is opening today in Batu Kawan and closing on Friday. The Penang school sports meet traditionally has been officially opened by the Governor of Penang and closed by the Penang Chief Minister. But this time around, my second source said that the invitation cards issued to schools indicates that the closing ceremony will be officiated by the State Education Director.

I wonder if there is a similar ruling/”advice” in the other four opposition-controlled states.

Perhaps readers of this blog who are school heads can tell us.

But I think there is a silver lining. This directive will, unwittingly, give the new Penang State Government leaders more time to spend on running the state efficiently, instead of wasting time officiating at routine school functions. Though I am sure the Education Department officials did not have that in mind!

TUN SALLEH ABAS BEEN EXTENDED AN APOLOGY FOR THE JUDICIARY CRISIS OF 1988

Although this apology may have come too late, but to admit that the Barisan Nasional government had done a grave injustice in dismissing former Lord President Tun Salleh Abas had greatly undermined the independence of the judiciary and to this, we need to applause the newly appointed Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in-charge of law, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim for his courage in admitting this fact.

Tun Salleh Abas himself had accept the apology but was quoted as saying that the same apology should also be extended to the 5 judges involved in the controversy who were suspended and some later sacked. The 5 judges involved were Tan Sri Azmi Kamaruddin, Tan Sri Eusoffe Abdoolcader, Tan Sri Wan Hamzah Mohamed Salleh, Wan Suleiman and Seah while susbsequently sacked later were Wan Sulaiman and Seah.

Meanwhile, DAP leader and prominent lawyer, Karpal Singh had informed that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad should also make an open apology since he was the main culprit in creating this sceanrio.

Since that moment the judiciary had lost its credibility and trust by the rakyat.

It is also expected that the on-going Lingam Video Scandal which concerns the judiciary, the culprits however important he or she may be, should be severely punished to ensure that these sort of incident does not occur anymore.

DATUK AHMAD SAID TO COMMENCE DUTIES AS MENTERI BESAR TERENGGANU TODAY

Datuk Ahmad Said has informed that he will commence his duties as Menteri Besar of Terengganu effective today, after having received the letter of appointment from the Palace despite protest from the UMNO leadership and claims that he has been expelled from UMNO for not respecting the wishes of the UMNO leadership who wanted to retain incumbent Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh as Menteri Besar.

It is further reported that at least 13 Barisan Nasional elected State Assemblyperson are supporting him despite earlier claims by the UMNO leadership. It need to be noted that almost all the Divisional leaders except Besut fully support Datuk Ahmad Said as the Menteri Besar.

In another event, it was also reported that Datuk Ahmad Said had an audience with Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, who is the Yang Dipertuan Agong, at Istana Terengganu at the federal capital yesterday.

Various UMNO leaders have express their disappointment at the UMNO leadership for creating a mockery of this situation.

But whatever said and done, Datuk Ahmad Said is to assume office as Menteri Besar and it would not be long that his selected candidates of Exco members will be sworn-in to administer the State.

ALL TERENGGANU UMNO DIVISIONAL CHIEFS EXCEPT BESUT ACCEPT DATUK AHMAD SAID AS THE NEW MENTERI BESAR OF TERENGGANU

Its reported by Deputy Chairman of the Terengganu UMNO State Liason Committee, Datuk Tengku Putera Tengku Awang that all the UMNO divisional Chiefs except Besut are in full support for Kijal State Assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Said as their new Menteri Besar of Terengganu. It was noted that Besut divison is headed by Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.

Since almost all the divisions are in agreement with the Palace appointment, it would be rightful for the Prime Minister and UMNO President, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his UMNO leadership to abide by the wishes of the grassroot members of UMNO in Terengganu.

UMNO Terengganu has 8 divisions namely Kemaman, Dungun, Marang, Kuala Terengganu, Kuala Nerus, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu and Besut.

Among those who are in agreement with Datuk Ahmad Said's appointment are Datuk Tengku Putera Tengku Awang from Hulu Terengganu, Datuk Ahmad Said (himself) from Kemaman, Datuk Dr. Rosli Mat Hassan from Dungun, Datuk Abdul Rahman Bakar from Marang, Datuk Mohd. Nasir Ibrahim Fikri from Kuala Nerus and Datuk Mohd. Jidin Shafee from Setiu while it is learned that Senator Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh from Kuala Terengganu who is unable to be contacted, has expressed his agreement on the above appointment.

Various UMNO divisional chiefs outside Terengganu have also expressed disappointment with the UMNO leadership with regards to this appointment crisis and had expressed that UMNO should respect the wishes of the Palace and should have held prior discussions on these matters.

Its seems that UMNO is at this moment a 'laughing stock' with the rakyat and this clearly signals that the Barisan Nasional government headed by Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is too weak to demand any authority.
WHITE EASTER AT ENGLAND TODAY

England experienced a WHITE SUNDAY EASTER today, after a lapse of 25 years.
It was a joyous ocassion with adults and children enjoying themselves, while attending the early morning mass to celebrate this EASTER.
KIJAL STATE ASSEMBLYMAN DATUK AHMAD SAID SACKED FROM UMNO BUT WAS APPOINTED TERENGGANU MENTERI BESAR BY PALACE

Its been widely reported that Kijal State Assemblyman, Datuk Ahmad Said has been SACKED from UMNO over the controversy of being appointed Terengganu Menteri Besar in place of Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, who has the blessing and support of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

It seems there is a serious problem arising in the State, since the Yang DiPertuan Agong is the Sultan of Terengganu. The appointment was consented by the State Royal Regency Advisory Council since the Regent is just 13 years old.

Terengganu is a rich State due to the oil reserves and the ruler and rakyat of Terengganu had expressed disappointment with the Menteri Besar and State Exco for failing to manage the State resources according to the aspirations of the people.

We need to wait and see what will follow.

But its confirm that Datuk Ahmad Said had been given the letter of appointment as Terengganu Menteri Besar by the State Royal Regency Advisory Council this morning and the swearing-in ceremony has been delayed to Wednesday.

KIJAL STATE ASSEMBLYMAN AHMAD SAID - NEW MENTERI BESAR TERENGGANU

The Terengganu Palace had decided to appoint Kijal State Assemblyman Ahmad Said as the new Menteri Besar of Terengganu despite Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah backing Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh to be retained.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place on Sunday morning (tomorrow) at Istana Tamu in Kuala Terengganu. It seems that Terengganu is the only State left without a Menteri Besar since the March 8 polls.

It is reported that most of the elected State Assemblymen are expected to boycott this ceremony.

It looks like another failure by the PM Abdullah's administration in securing their candidate for the position.
WILL DATUK DR. SUBRAMANIAM, SOLE INDIAN CABINET MINISTER BE ABLE TO DELIVER?

Syabas to Datuk Dr S Subramaniam, Member of Parliament for Segamat for being sworned-in as the sole Indian cabinet Minister, in charge of Human Resources. Its agreed that at this crucial period with so much of ill-feelings that the Indian community has, his responsibility especially towards his fellowmen would be a focal point of attention and he may be forced to deliver what the Indians expect out of him if he still wants to continue serving in the cabinet for time to come.

But the important point to ponder would be, CAN HE DELIVER as effectively as Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu?

Many may criticise Datuk Seri Samy Vellu for the present dilemma faced by the Indians, but it need to be noted that with all his arrogance and stubbornness, if Datuk Seri Samy has set his mind, he will bull-dose without fear until he fulfills his ambition.

Maybe Datuk Seri Samy's greatest failure and set-back was he under-estimated the strength of the Indian communities anger against him and his MIC officials towards their continued neglect on the plights of the Indian community and fulfillment of their unkept promises made at various previous elections.

Since Datuk Dr Subramaniam is serving for the first time as a full Minister, he may have to be seen to agree with whatever UMNO has planned. If he was to demand and express his opinion on the plights of the anger of the Indians, he may be forced to 'quit' his post and will he risk such a situation as he has now gain this 'great power' without any effort in securing it. He can continue the 'tidak apa' attitude and please the other cabinet members and be there until such time this cabinet exist and enjoy all the 'goodies' that come along with this position. Will he risk this situation and golden opportunity?

Everyone knows what had gone wrong. Until today, nothing concrete or firm has taken place. Even the 5 innocent HINDRAF gentlemen are still 'lock-up' in Kamunting. The first cabinet meeting has concluded, and no signs to indicate that the Indians plight have been addressed. The only word we have is the people outside, Datuk Seri Samy and his failed leaders saying that they are looking into the matter and teaming up with their 'enemies' to show they together can deliver.

This is NOT what the Indian community is HOPING FOR. They need a clear and concrete chart on what they can expect and whether they are treated as equal partners in Malaysia which they had developed over these 50 odd years together with the other communities.

After all this scarifice, its time for the government of the day to deliver what is lacking and address them according.

Datuk Dr Subramaniam's future depends on him delivering what the Indian community expect him to perform.

Only time will tell.

A HISTORICAL DAY - 13 MAY 2008 - MALAYSIANS FREE AT LAST

A lot of people will say 13th is a very bad and UNLUCKY number and I do agree with all of you. Take a look at most buildings, there is never a 13th Floor. But there is a difference, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is very fond of 13, his cars are all number 13, and one can realise that he chose 13 February 2008 to declare the dissolution of Parliament and even the previous time he did the same. But of late, 13 also seems to affect him in a bad way. The UMNO and Barisan Nasional had a disastrous defeat during the recently concluded general elections and were able to form the federal government with a slim majority which can be cracked very easily if not taken care of. Its time PM Abdullah rethink about his "13".

It will always be remembered that 13 May 1969 - the day that racial riots had taken this plural Malaysian society by storm and with it came the NEP and bumiputra status, which most Malaysians are still very unhappy about.

BUT Malaysians fail to realise that to make MALAYSIA PROUD we need to make 13 May 2008 a historical day when we are able to THROW OUT this present uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt Barisan Nasional government by TOPPLING them by 'buying' their own Members of Parliament (tick for tack or UMNO style) and forming a NEW OPPOSITION GOVERNMENT which will be for Malaysia for Malaysians.

Then, we will always remember 13 th May - a historical day for FREEDOM and there is no more FEAR and need not fear about 13 May 1969 anymore while it will only be history and no longer a sensitive issue.

Let's work towards this goal.

UMNO LEADERSHIP FEARS EGM OF 11 MAY 2008. WHY?

It is really surprising that the UMNO leadership is in FEAR to deliberate on the disastrous defeat of UMNO and Barisan Nasional, for the first time in history, during the recently concluded general elections.
It would be wise to discuss the reasons for this defeat and find a solution which will be acceptable by the members.
Inside sources had informed that the UMNO leadership is in fear that the members may call for the immediate resignation of the UMNO President, who is Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and a few others who were the main cause of this defeat.
There are numerous calls by members agreeing that May 11, 2008 would be an ideal day to discuss on this matter since it was the day UMNO was foundered.
It was noted that there is also a fear that UMNO elected representatives would be crossing-over to the Opposition in discontentment with the current leadership, which together with other disgruntled BN elected representatives would give a edge to the Opposition to form the next government very soon.
That being the FEAR, UMNO veteran and MP for Gua Musang Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah had made this call for a EGM to discuss and find a solution. It is learned that former President and premier, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is also in favour of this proposal.
Will the UMNO leadership abide by this?
SELANGOR EXCO LIST FINALISED, SWEARING-IN ON MONDAY

Finally the Selangor Exco list has been finalised and submitted to the Palace for approval. It has been reported that the Palace wants a minimum of 5 Malay members to keep in line with the racial population composite of Selangor. It is also reported that the swearing-in ceremony is fixed for Monday and rehearsals are being underway.

Those selected are Dr Xavier Jayakumar (Seri Andalas ), Elizabeth Wong (Bukit Lanjan), Yaakob Sapari (Kota Angerik) and Rodziah Ismail (Batu Tiga) from KeADILAN while Ronnie Liu (Pandamaran), Teresa Kok (Kinrara) and Ean Yong Hian Hua (Seri Kembangan) from DAP, and Dr Hassan Ali (Gombak Setia), Dr Halimah Ali (Selat Kelang) and Iskandar Abdul Samad (Cempaka) from PAS.

Meanwhile it is reported that veteran Selangor opposition leader Teng Chang Kim from DAP will be appointed the Speaker.

There is a call by the Indian community that they hope that Kota Alam Shah state representative M Manoharan be appointed as a Deputy Menteri Besar or Speaker in Selangor, in appreciation of the contribution made by him and HINDRAF, who is still detained under ISA at Kamunting.

PM DATUK SERI ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI'S TIME RUNNING-OUT IF HE DOES NOT PROOF HE IS WORTHY OF THE PM'S POSITION?

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi need to realise that he is against TIME if he does not perform his duties to the satisfaction of all the communities in Malaysia. Just trying to satisfy the UMNOputras is the wrong concept.

It is been learned that Malaysians, especially the Sarawakians, Sabahans, Chinese and Indians are very unhappy with PM Abdullah's rule. These could be seen from the election performance except for Sarawak and Sabah since they are still in the dark with no proper means of information. Just give them time and they too will voice their grievances.

Its time PM Abdullah take stock of the situation himself and implement policies that he had felt beneficial for Malaysians on the whole.

PM Abdullah may have to heel calls made by the Indian community by releasing the 5 HINDRAF detainees while looking at the plight of them in education, economics and welfare.

Next, he has to address the needs of the people of Sarawak and Sabah who have been neglected for so long by the highly corrupted State Ketua Menteris. Its time to replace these 'crooks' at whatever cost.

The Chinese community wants a good economic environment and would want the government to look into this matter seriously and immediately.

East coast of Peninsula Malaysia needs great attention. Certain policies need to be in place to ensure that they too progress as their other counterparts irrespective of whether they are in the Opposition state government. Bitter lessons of Kelantan must not be forgotten. Just giving 'monetary value' will not please the masses. It seems only the UMNOputras had benefitted and that is why Kelantan is still in the hands of the Opposition.

Need to evaluate the down fall of the other states to the Opposition.

Stop depending on his family for support since the task his behold on PM Abdullah. If unable to perform, it may be TIMELY to hand over to a appropriate leader.

Failing to have seen to have perform may lead to BN losing grip of the government since there is a plan by the Opposition to 'buy' Barisan Nasional elected Representatives to TOPPLE this current BN government.

Its all up to PM Abdullah to perform. Will he do it?

UMNO ENGAGE SPIES TO DETECT DESERTERS

It is not surprising that there is fear among the UMNO leadership that unhappy elected representative will desert to the Opposition due to unfail promises.

Its been reported that the newly appointed UMNO Secretary-General Tengku Adnan Mansor had engaged spies to investigate these individuals and to take appropriate action against them.

UMNO fail to realise that due to their continued uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt administration, these representatives do not want to be associated with any longer.

At the same time, the Opposition are hoping the cross-over of at least 35 elected representative, so that they could government the country, for the first time in history and the people's call for the 'END OF BN' have been achieved.

Lets wait for TIME.

BARISAN NASIONAL QUIT DILEMMA BEGINS.......

It is widely reported that the Opposition has secured a single candidate from the Barisan Nasional (BN) to start their momentum of cross-overs of BN elected Representatives as announced and speculated by the rakyat as a result of the uncaring attitude of the BN leadership towards the other coalition partners except UMNO.

The first BN casuality is a 5 term Member of Parliament for Serian, Sarawak Richard Riot has resigned from SUPP along with many party members from his constituency after he was not appointed a Deputy Minister in the federal cabinet although promised and did not have the Dayak community interests at heart.

Richard has shown keen interest in joining KeADILan although as for now he will an Independent MP in Parliament.

GERAKAN WANTS PM TO RELEASE HINDRAF 5

GERAKAN has requested Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to consider releasing unconditionally the 5 HINDRAF leaders who have been detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) at Kamunting Detention Centre immediately to please the Indian community.

This call was made by GERAKAN's Assistant Secretary K K Supramaniam today.

The five Hindraf leaders are P Uthayakumar, M Manoharan (recently elected as a State Assemblyman in Selangor), R Kenghadharan, V Ganabatirau and T Vasantha Kumar who were arrested on December 13, 2007 and placed under a two-year detention order at the Kamunting Detention Centre for allegedly being a national threat, which subsequently have been found untrue by the police.

RAFIDAH STILL UMNO WANITA CHIEF

It is reported that UMNO Wanita Chief Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz, described as the 'Iron Lady' has confirm that she will remain as the Chief of the UMNO Ladies Wing although she had retained her Kuala Kangsar parliamentary seat.

She had been reported as quoting that it would have be polite for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to have told her that he would not have retained her in the Cabinet, before the general elections and she would not have stood for the parliament seat.

Meanwhile, it is been widely reported that the UMNO Wanita Wing have for the first time been not represented in the government and in lieu of this Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had appointed Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, her (Rafidah's) deputy as his Special Adviser on women and family matters, giving her the same status as a Minister yesterday.

TENGKU ADNAN MANSOR, NEWLY APPOINTED UMNO SECRETARY-GENERAL

It has been reported that Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Member of Parliament for PutraJaya has been appointed UMNO Secretary-General, replacing Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad who has resigned in protest that he was not appointed as a Minister in the newly formed Barisan Nasional government announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday.

It is speculated that Dato Seri Rafidah Aziz and Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad are expected to resign as UMNO Wanita Chief and UMNO and Barisan Nasional Secretary-General respectively, since they both had not be given a Minister's position in the Cabinet line-up announced yesterday.

It seems that UMNO is cracking up and there will be more casualities in the days to come in protest of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

There are two Deputy Ministers appointed yesterday who had declined their acceptance since they had hoped to have been appointed full Ministers as they had already held these positions previously. They are Datuk Anifah Aman, the younger brother of Sabah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Musa Aman and Datuk Seri Tengku Azlan Abu Bakar.

SHOULD MUKHRIZ BE PUNISHED FOR EXPRESSING HIS FEARS ON THE FUTURE OF BARISAN NASIONAL

It is widely reported that Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir, the newly elected Parliament member for Jerlun had written a letter to Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi expressing his concern on the defeat of the Barisan Nasional in the recent general elections.

Although this letter was address to the PM, and to a few UMNO top leaders, the leakage of this personal letter to third parties should be a subject matter and be investigated.

It is surprising that our PM has taken this letter very lightly and had given the responsibility to the UMNO Youth to decide on the future at its forthcoming Executive meeting and to decide on what form of action or punishment need to be taken on Mukhriz.

Our PM had openly told that he is there to LISTEN to constructive criticisms and he will evaluate them. Isn't Mukhriz letter expressing his deep concern for the party's future. Mukhriz had express his deep concern on the disasterous results of the recent general elections where the Malays, Chinese and Indians have voted for the first time with confidence for the Opposition with five States falling in the hands of the Opposition parties and if this situation is not addressed immediately and a solution found, BN and UMNO will be a weak Opposition or will no longer exist.

Is our PM still SLEEPING after this defeat, then its best for him to be kicked out NOW.

TENGKU RAZALEIGH CALLS ON UMNO LEADERS TO HOLD EGM ON MAY 11 TO DISCUSS ELECTION DEFEAT

UMNO veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who is UMNO Gua Musang Divisional head has written a letter to 193 Umno division leaders urging them to call for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on May 11, 2008, to discuss on the party's unprecedented electoral setback faced on March 8, 2008 where 5 States had been lost to the Opposition parties.

He commented that he chose May 11 since it was the day UMNO was founded in 1946.

The EGM is called to examine the disastrous electoral defeat of the Barisan Nasional, and should not be a 'point a finger' session on anyone, and it will also need to deal with why the Chinese and Indian voters, who had been loyal to BN all this while had rejected MCA and MIC candidates as well. It was also noted that many incumbent UMNO candidates were also defeated by PKR and PAS candidates and the reason for this turn-around.

If we do not discuss and find a solution, and if we don't change our policies, culture and morale in BN and UMNO and make a radical change it must be, BN and UMNO will not win and will fail to rule this nation any longer.

Before its too late, we need to address these shortcomings and try our best to overcome them, failing which the Opposition will rule Malaysia and UMNO and BN will always be a weak Opposition or will not exist anymore.

SAMY VELLU SHOULD LEAVE

It seems Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu has still NOT got the message that the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) members and the rakyat, especially the Indian community on the whole want him to GET LOST FOR GOOD and 'enjoy' his retirement.
Just giving press statements and trying to convince the Indian community that he cares is just too late. Samy had failed in many areas and the rakyat is fed up with his continued arrogance and greed for power.
Maybe just to do some last minute justice, Samy need to allow every MIC member to elect their new leadership IMMEDIATELY, so that his weak and useless hand-pick successors who had failed to win in the current elections will not hold on and try to benefit from the already 'powerless' and weak MIC.
A NEW MENTERI BESAR IN TERENGGANU

It is widely reported that the Terengganu Royal household is unhappy with the Prime Minister's selection of candidate for the Terengganu Menteri Besar and have summoned all the 23 Barisan Nasional elected representatives to brief them on their best choice of candidate to be appointed as Menteri Besar of Terengganu.

This morning all 23 Barisan Nasional State Assemblymen were summoned for a meeting with the state's Regency Advisory Council which represents Terengganu's 11-year-old Regent, Tengku Muhammad Ismail, whose father Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin is the present Agong of Malaysia.

The Prime Minister had given his mandate to incumbent Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh but the Royal household have expressed dissatisfaction with him over various issues mishandled by him during his tenure in office.

Its been learned that today meeting has been postponed but its for sure that a new Menteri Besar will be chosen.

Another blow to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, after Perlis.

View the video clip on this protest: http://penangmedia.com/cms/av/2008/0314/article_46.html

It was reported that a group of muslim friday prayers crowd of about 1,000 people led by UMNO had demanded the Penang Government not to abolish the New Economic Policy (NEP) which gives preferential status to the Malays.

It was later reported that Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng assured the Malays in the State that they will still enjoy the same benefits as before but it will be in line with the real purpose of uplifting the bumiputras and NOT for the benefit of the 'rich' UMNOputras as what is been practiced now.

The crowd dispersed after one hour without any problems and after the assurance given by the Chief Minister.

SHAHIDAN KASSIM - OUT, MAT ISA SABU, NEW PERLIS MENTERI BESAR

It is strongly speculated that Bintong State Assemblyman Datuk Dr Mat Isa Sabu will replace Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim as Perlis Menteri Besar. Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim had held that post since 1995 but is embroiled in an internal squabble led by Umno Secretary-General Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad over various issues.

The latest development is that the Raja Perlis has consented to the appointment of Bintong assemblyman Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu as the new Menteri Besar of Perlis, replacing the embattled Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, who still claimed that he had the Prime Minister's authority to continue as Menteri Besar but that the Ruler is ignored it, paving a way for a situation that could lead to a constitutional crisis in Perlis.

It seems UMNO members themselves want our 'sleeping and weak' Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to QUIT.

The above banner was purportedly put up by Puteri UMNO Bandar Tun Abdul Razak Kuala Lumpur.
