It is strongly speculated that Bintong State Assemblyman Datuk Dr Mat Isa Sabu will replace Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim as Perlis Menteri Besar. Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim had held that post since 1995 but is embroiled in an internal squabble led by Umno Secretary-General Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad over various issues.
The latest development is that the Raja Perlis has consented to the appointment of Bintong assemblyman Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu as the new Menteri Besar of Perlis, replacing the embattled Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, who still claimed that he had the Prime Minister's authority to continue as Menteri Besar but that the Ruler is ignored it, paving a way for a situation that could lead to a constitutional crisis in Perlis.

The present govt in Perlis is legal and constitutional.
On the ground that i heard thousands of times that if not for Shahidan -the people will vote for PAS or not at all.
shahidan had given everything to his nation ( melayu) and now he's left with an old terrace house.
But the people will never forget him and don't bet he'll dissapear into the cold.
Where did all those monies go to? It goes to orang kampung.He gave millions to them. The holier than thou among us will say sampai bila nak bantu ? w/out adding kami saja nak makan duit tu.
