PM DATUK SERI NAJIB 'BACKS' NATIONWIDE MUSLIMS PROTEST ON ALLAH TOMORROW

There are plans to hold a huge gathering nationwide after Friday prayers tomorrow afternoon by Muslims to protest against non-Muslims from using the term 'ALLAH' to describe their GOD.

It was reported that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak when asked after the launch of 1 MALAYSIA Clinic, that the government cannot 'stop' protest but if it becomes out of control then the Police could be called to disperse them.

Some quarters have described PM Datuk Seri Najib's above statement as being 'double-standard' since non-Muslims are banned from staging protest and were in all cases used tear gas and acidic water cannons with arrest and charge.

The Police and Home Ministry should immediately disallow anyone to protest since the Kuala Lumpur High Court has disallowed the Christians from using the term 'ALLAH' in their weekly newspaper Herald after an Appeal by the government yesterday until final disposal of the suit.

Religion is a very sensitive manner and since the term 'ALLAH' had been used by Christians for more than 400 years in Bahasa Melayu while almost all Muslim countries do allow non-Muslims to use Allah to describe God during their publication and/or during sermons.

Will the BN federal government ban any protest?

Will the use of the word in certain state anthems be similarly banned for non-Muslims too ? As it stands, the "Allah" in the state anthem seems to stand for everyone's God.

i am a muslim and i love my god 'allah'. if anyone wants to use the word 'allah', i have no qualms about it, long as nobody makes fun of it. if you read the comments in youtube on muslims based videos, you'll see many condemning 'allah' and yet we do not react violently to it - honestly, the christians themselves are not 'hadap' to even mention the word let alone using it. so, why the fuss or the need to protest?
