It was reported that a marble plaque had been placed today to honour the historical event of the Perak State Assembly sitting convened at this 'democracy tree' when the Perak State Secretary and Ipoh Police had barred entry for the elected State Assemblymen and Assemblywomen from having their lawful State Assembly sitting on 3 March 2009.This historical tree will always be remembered by the generation to come that PEOPLE'S POWER will be the ultimate force, not the Palace or political parties.
