The newly elected UMNO leaders after their UMNO General Assembly on 24 March 2009 are scheduled to hold their first UMNO Supreme Council Meeting on Friday, 24 April 2009 at 3.15pm and it is reported that the Meeting will appoint the Secretary-General, Treasurer , Chief Information Officer and some appointed Members as per their Party Rules.Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Is that why the Election Commission postponed a decision on a by-election in Penanti to Monday instead of Friday ?
