Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the former Deputy Prime Minister returned to Parliament House after a lapse of 10 years while accompanying his wife, MP for Permatang Pauh and Opposition Leader Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as her spouse. There, he met with former cabinet colleagues and had a chat. He also met Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Datuk Seri Anwar had vowed that this was his first step and would have a 'come-back' shortly to lead the Pakatan Rakyat, who will form the next government very shortly. Datuk Seri Anwar who was still on his 5 year ban from politics while the 12th General Elections were held on March 8, 2008 had his ban officially removed effectively from April 14. It is expected that Datuk Seri Anwar will contest in a by-election very soon to gain entry into Parliament as an Member of Parliament, making way for him to lead the Pakatan Rakyat.photo courtesy of Agendadaily
