The saying "like father like son" seems not applicable any longer with the current generation. Despite the sudden resignation of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad from UMNO which he formed, his son, MP for Jerlun, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir had refused to follow his father's footsteps by resigning from UMNO. Datuk Mukhriz made this announcement today backed by his supporters.
Datuk Mukhriz informed that he is in support of his father's principle that Prime Minister and UMNO/BN President Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi would have to quit immediately.
