It has been reported that Khairy Jamaluddin, the current deputy chief and son-in-law of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has finally qualified to contest for the UMNO Youth Chief position.So far, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir has secured 66 nominations while Khairy Jamaluddin has secured 40 nominations. Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo has so far secured 28 nominations. To be eligible a candidate needs 39 nominations.
It seems that its going to be a Khairy-Mukhriz tussle for the top post.
