It has been reported that toll concessionaire Grand Saga had overnight reconstructed a concrete 5 foot high barricade to block a toll-free access road to the Cheras-Kajang Highway in Bandar Mahkota Cheras today.
Its been revealed that the concessionaire Grand Saga had engaged a group of 'thugs' to protect the barricade but dissent residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras had clashes with them to prevent the construction which the residents deem unlawful and against their right to free passage since the concessionaire Grand Saga had used the existing road rather than to construction a new passage.
Its been reported that almost more than a dozen residents have been assaulted by these hired 'thugs' armed with iron rods, helmets and sticks. Even a female resident was beaten up by eight thugs for blocking the barricade construction. The residents were furious after the hired 'thugs' had assaulted their residents.
The police were summoned at the site to avoid any further disaster.
Four days ago, the residents failed in their bid to obtain an Injunction from Court to refrain Grand Saga from constructing a barricade to stop this free access road by the residents. Since then, the company had expected the residents to respect and honour the court order and not interfere with the re-construction of the barricade.
Meanwhile, the Selangor State government led by the Pakatan Rakyat have argued that the site where the barricade was built, is part of state land and questioned the toll concessionaire’s right in erecting the barricade and had felt that the toll operator should not barricade the road until the matter is legally resolved completely.

Why don't our courts make the dicision - and fast. We are not a hooligan country. Are we really want a crisis, chaos and disasters? Somoe people trive on crisis, but we are not alone in this world. Truth will prevail.
If the chaos prevail, it cannot easily be stopped - the ultimate power will be the one with guns. And every citizen including businessmen cannot really make earnest living. Of course the rich can run away to other countries with billions - but what happen to their families and friends? And where will their kubur be? And what history will write about them? Are you people think that billions will make you happier and safer? Think again.
So Please, please make an urgent effort for the courts to rule on the issue.
