MINISTERS WHOLEHEARTEDLY BACKING PAH LAH

It has been reported in the media today that many cabinet ministers are giving their full backing to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in relation to the continued criticism levelled by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad despite their peace talks held last sunday. When reporters asked Pah Lah for his comments during his Hari Raya 'open house' at the Putra World Trade Centre yesterday, he had told them that he will speak on this matter another time.

In the meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak had been quoted as saying that a explanation would be offered within a couple of days against matters raised by Tun Dr Mahathir during that meeting. He further commented that the current administration had nothing to hide and will give its explanation on matters raised in order to build public confidence.

In another report, it was reported that Minister in Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Tan Sri Abdul Aziz had mounted his criticism against Tun Dr Mahathir for his unwarranted attack against the prime minister and the current administration. He was quoted as saying that as far as he knows, Tun Dr Mahathir had also on two ocassions deferred the UMNO Supreme Council elections on almost similar grounds and repudiated Tun Dr Mahathir's claims on this issue.

It seems to the general public that more fiery speeches are about to be levelled against each other within the next few days to come. As far as the public is concern, they do not care who is right or wrong as long as the current administration has a good justification for scrapping the projects while taking into account the interest and well-being of the rakyat. They want the government to deliver what it had promised, a clean and able government. The government may be compel to be more open and transparent in their dealings.
