PETROLEUM PRICES SHOULD BE LOWERED DUE TO CURRENT LOW WORLD PRICES

It is surprising to note that when prices go up in the world market, our government immediately adjust their prices to keep with this hike. But, when a commodity price falls, our government does not adjust them or take considerable length of time to make the reduction. This is Barisan Nasional (BN) style of management. Anyway, BN is also know as 'BARANG NAIK'.

The world market price for petroleum products has sharply fallen but our petroleum product prices still remain unchanged. The government had demanded a hike a few months ago on the basis that the world price was higher although there was a huge protest from the rakyat. We ourselves are a petroleum producing country.

It is expected that during the coming festive period, the government will immediately reduce the petroleum product prices, so that prices of other related products will also be lowered. In this way, the rakyat will have a bit more to spend.

Will this reduction take place now?
