THE 12th GENERAL ELECTIONS FEVER GAINS MOMENTUM........................
The political parties seem to be mobilising for the announcement that Parliament will be dissolved for the commencement of the 12th General Elections. Coffee shops talks speculate that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will dissolve Parliament on 13 February 2008 to pave the way for the next general elections since he had already had the audience with the Yang DiPertuan Agong last week, to obtain his consent.
Barisan Nasional parties and Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers of States have been summoned to prepare a list of eligible candidates and forward them to the Prime Minister, who is also Head of the Barisan Nasional to make his final selection.
The Opposition is also making its final preparation on the list of candidates.
What the Malaysian want and like to see is an united Opposition, where all or most seats are contested one is to one. This will be the best 'eye-opener' to the ruling party, Barisan Nasional since it has been branded uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt.
But whatever said, its all up to the rakyat to evaluate and vote.
The final decision lies with the voters.
If we want to see a massive change in policies and wipe out ineffectiveness, inefficiency and have a corrupt free government, we together need to vote for a new party to rule our government. The Barisan Nasional will never be able to change since it has already been incorporated in its 'blood'.
So, Malaysians, its all in your hands. Your vote will decide the future path of our country.
