CAN YOU TRUST THE WORDS OF PM DATUK SERI ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI THAT THERE WILL BE NO PETROLEUM HIKES UNTIL THE END OF THIS YEAR

It is widely reported that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has given his assurance that there will be no more petroleum hikes until the end of this year. But CAN WE TRUST HIM? PM Datuk Seri Abdullah had failed us so many times and why can't it happen again. It is certain that PM Datuk Seri Abdullah, BN and UMNO leaders are now having a fear that they are in the mist of losing control of the government and hope that by giving an 'assurance' like this, there will be no cross-overs or BN been TOPPLED.
PM Datuk Seri Abdullah need to realise that he had given his promise that the next review would only take place in August but sudden announced a steep fuel hike last week which took the rakyat by anger since it was 41% and over.
Another matter the rakyat fears is that if the fuel price goes over USD150 per barrel, will this BN government maintain their promise? Will PM Datuk Seri Abdullah raise the price again without caring for the rakyat by informing 'what can he do?' which PM Datuk Seri Abdullah is capable of, after many similar incidents.
To assure his trust, its time for a full disclosure of the Petronas accounts from incorporation and what happen to the amounts received.
Taking the odds into account, it would be beneficial for the rakyat if they manage to convince their elected BN representatives to cross-over, since the PR had given their promise that petroleum price would be drastically reduced the next day after forming the government which will reduce the burden of the rakyat.

I think the current government are very eager to increase the price of oil. They will find any type of excuese and reason to punish the Rakyat and increase the oil price...

Unless the government and Petronas are honest enough and come out with the statistic and data on the production and consumption figure, I will find it hard to believe anything from the government regarding oil prices.
