Malaysiakini reported today that Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Youth Chief, S A Vigneswaran had resigned effective 3pm today. Vigneswaran made this announcement at a press conference at the Hokkien Association Hall in Klang. Vigneswaran who is closely-related to MIC President Datuk Seri S Samy Vellu was about to be removed from office if not for his immediate resignation by the MIC President.
Vigneswaran, a lawyer by profession due to the full assistance of the MIC is also very well known within the MIC circles as one of the 'gangster leader' who provides 'protection' services to MIC leaders from time to time. Vigneswaran was a elected Member of Parliament and a cabinet member during the previous tenure of the BN government.
MIC seems to be facing a severe internal crisis and this seems to be the tip of the iceberg. MIC had failed drastically during the recently concluded general elections and ever since then, there is a force that wants to topple the MIC leadership since every top leaders had failed to retain their parliament seats.
But whatever happens, until and unless MIC is revamped, the Indian community can expect NOTHING from MIC. MIC is just a 'under-dog' to UMNO, now and forever. The only thing that MIC brags about is that its the 'champion of the Indians' but they cheat and swindle the Indian community wholesale.
Its time for the Indians to live without the MIC unless they change their mindset and 'fight' for their rights as equal partners in the Malaysian society.

Who cares whether he is in MIC or out of MIC. All these goons are good only for gangterism, started by the Master Sifu, Samyvellu.
First of all I feel this news about Vigneswaran quitting the party doesnt even deserve to be highlighted here.
I just read G.Krishnan's post entitled `THE MORE THINGS CHANGE,THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME'
I wish to quote one of his lines here:`I must however make a plea to you to help raise further awareness and to speak out against the kind of debased politics that seem to have contaminated the highest office of the party'.
Now why plea to this man called Vikneswaran who did nothing to uplift the status of the Indian community as well as the status of the Indian youths when he was walking the corridors of power?
He decided to speak up against his boss Samy only now after he was forced to relinquish his youth chief post.If Samy had allowed him to carry on with his post,would he have spoken up?So why plea to this kind of scum?
Instead lets educate the Indians to live within their means and give importance to their children's education.We dont need those MIC scumbags anymore.Lets annihiliate MIC once and forever.What difference does it make if MIC is there for the Indians or not?
Its time now to check on the PR to see how are they going to help the Indian community.We Indians have shown our loyalty to PR thus far as we did for BN for the past 50 years.So lets forget about MIC,they have been given enough time to prove their worth but they failed us miserably.
No more pleading to those MIC scumbags instead let them plead to us and we Indians will decide wether we want them or not.
