MANIKAVASAGAM, MP FOR KAPAR - A MISCONCEPTION

Manikavasagam, the Member of Parliament for Kapar, who is also commonly called as Mike and his grouses were as he mentioned while at an interview over Malaysiakini TV, was disappointed about several issues which includes among others, the Klang Bas stand relocation issue, land issue and had sighted the example of “Taman Sentosa in Kapar" where despite 95% of the population being Indians, the Ketua Kampung is a Malay.

Malaysia is a multi-racial and multi-cultural society and until and unless we think and act as Malaysian, our generation will not survive. As far as possible, this Malay Ketua Kampong does not face any problems with his residents or had he shown favouritism to one class of society. Since he had been fair, he is re-elected and we need to admire his position.

Just because UMNOputras had made it a big issue of a Chinese lady becoming a General Manager of PKNS, and the subsequent appointment of a able and capable Malay gentleman to replace her should be a lesson for Malaysians to ponder about, if we want to progress to make Malaysia a home for its multi-racial and multi-cultural society, which is internationally admired.

UMNO and its Barisan Nasional partners who most of them work towards racial lines must be eradicated and this can only happen if we work together to TOPPLE this 'useless, uncaring, ineffective and corrupted' Barisan Nasional from our political scene.

It is hoped that our Mike will re-evaluate his position and realise that he serves as MP for Kapar from the votes he received from the Kapar voters of multi-racial and multi-cultural society who comprise of more than 60% of Malay voters, who have always had high respect for his fair and unbias service to them.

For once we need to think we are MALAYSIAN and forget what UMNO and its BN partners are professing.
