ZAHRAIN REASON TO QUIT - UNABLE TO SECURE RM40 MILLION PROJECT

Finally the TRUTH IS OUT - the reason for MP Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim to quit from PKR.

Read the below news :

(Malaysian Digest) - DAP secretary general, Lim Guan Eng, has characterised the action of the former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) state chairman Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim to quit the party as wanting to protect his personal and individual interests.

Lim, the Penang Chief Minister, said the cracks between him and the Bayan Baru Member of Parliament arose when Zahrain failed to get approval for a RM40 million tender for a Bukit Jambul Golf Resort project.

He said he did not approve the tender as the company which was strongly recommended by Zahrain was just set up two months before the tender was issued at the end of September 2008.

"I feel the reason for him to quit was failure to get the project. Am I a dictator if I approve a tender worth millions to a two-ringgit company?" Lim told reporters here today.

He said the company concerned was newly set up and led him to not have confidence in it to handle the project that was valued at more than RM40 million.

"I feel that Zahrain is angry as I did not approve the tender for the two-ringgit company and the reason for him to leave the party as saying I am a dictator," he said.

Besides that, Lim questioned Zahrain's action in relinquishing all posts in the party but not as chairman and as a member of the board of directors of Island Golf Properties Sdn Bhd and this reflected that Zahrain only protected his interests.

Yesterday, Zahrain announced his quitting of PKR out of frustration withb the party's struggle and loss of confidence in the party's advisor, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He also declared himself as an independent member of parliament and said this was because of no confidence in the Penang state government led by Lim.

Now, you know the reason. It seems our elected representatives from Pakatan who were formerly from UMNO, a number of them are 'hungry' for projects to keep with their lifestyle. They have not real intention to serve the rakyat.

So BEWARE at the next polls. Only vote for a reliable and capable candidate.

The Opposition would need to screen potential candidates who are only prepared to serve should be selected.

Then we will never hear of 'frogs'.
