ROS STATED MCA DEPUTY PRESIDENTS POSITION WAS NEVER VACANT - DR CHUA

MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek informed that the Registrar of Societies (ROS) confirmed that the position of deputy president had never fell vacant and as such since Datuk Seri Dr Chua was elected, he retained his position although the recent EGM of 10 October 2009 had failed to reconfirm the respective positions.

The claim by sacked legal bureau chief yesterday is misleading since he claims that I informed that CC Meeting that the ROS had recognised me as the deputy president but what actually transpired was the CC Meeting deliberated on the notion that it never fell vacant and reinstated me to the original position.

Datuk Seri Dr Chua further claimed that he is prepared to make way for Vice President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai if the Datuk Seri Liow were to officially request me to give way to him. I according to Datuk Seri Dr Chua, want the MCA to be united and serve the Chinese community and not face this current leadership crisis which is affecting the MCA and the Chinese community at large.

So is Datuk Seri Liow officialy going to demand that he wants to be the Deputy President?
