GERAKAN NEED TO BE PRO-ACTIVE TO GATHER SUPPORT

Parti Gerakan Malaysia (GERAKAN) held its National Delegates Conference yesterday which witness the official opening done by Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional Chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

During the opening speech Datuk Seri Najib had stressed that all BN parties will need to strengthen themselves while resolving all internal problems immediately so that the peoples confidence and trust would be returned in order for the BN to regain its past glory as the only party that has the mandate from the rakyat to rule and administer the country.

In the speech of Gerakan President, Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon, its timely for Gerakan to move forward to regain the trust of the rakyat for the party and BN and requested every member to strive to achieve this goal.

While speaking to reporters later, Tan Sri Koh stated that this was the first time that there were no questions posed after the opening address.

The resolution to withdraw from the BN was also turned down by the delagates.

Gerakan is really trying its best to regain its public confidence and if the party moves in resolving public woes, it may be able to regain all its lost seats in the future polls.
