ANWAR AND EVERYONE CONNECTED SHOULD BE CALLED TO TESTIFY

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the man responsible for exposing the judges fixing scandal now named 'Lingam Video Tape Scandal' should be called by the Royal Commission to give whatever information that will assist the Commission to make its final decision.
Anwar has many 'secrets' to tell and the rakyat wants to know all of it since it has affected the independence of the judiciary at the expense of the rakyat.
The Royal Commission, if it is really independent, should call every witness connected with the matter and give them the opportunity to tell their true story, only then can this Commission claim they have perform their task fairly and satisfactorily.
Since many claims like, 'I do not remember, It is my right, It could be me' which to any educated Malaysian shows that there is more 'secret' that need to be revealed and subsequently charge these irresponsible people for abusing public funds for not telling their truth as entrusted and solemn to do by them. Just try to evade from telling the truth and trying to protect their friends is very unbecoming of these so called 'heroes'. Crime in any form, the punishment must be met.
Every Malaysian wants the weakness of the judiciary be exposed since the 'sacking' of former Lord President, Tun Salleh Abas in 1998, and to bring the 'culprits' to task irrespective of their standing. The Law of Malaysia are to be obeyed and respected by every citizen and it should be treated equally.

Thaipusam was grandly and joyfully celebrated by Hindus at the Lord Sri Murugan Temple at Eastham in London on Wednesday 23rd January, 2008. Malaysians residing at United Kingdom, as far as from Newcastle, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Chelmsford and London were seen around observing this fest.

British and Muslim onlookers were seen looking at the kavadi and paal kudam (milk pot) procession inside the temple premises and were astonished by the way this festival was celebrated by the Hindus.

It has been an annual affair and tradition that the grand ‘kavadi’ is always undertaken by Malaysians at this temple and as usual the devotees were delighted to see them once again.

But, to the surprise of many devotees, were the presence of Malaysian Indians carrying out a peaceful protest against the discrimination of the Indians in Malaysia and a signature campaign from Malaysians who were around was carried out which according to sources, will be presented together with the Petition to the British Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Gordon Brown on 1st February 2008, when a large scale peaceful demonstration is scheduled to be held at 10 Downing Street London.

TURN-OUT OF MALAYSIAN HINDUS AT BATU CAVES WERE DISCOURAGING

The Thaipusam festival was celebrated on Wednesday, 23rd January 2008 all over our country.

But to the surprise, this year's turn-out of devotees and onlookers at Batu Caves had been unexpectedly very poor. It has been learned that SMS and emails requesting Malaysian Hindus from boycotting Batu Caves had been accomplished. Sources quoted that paal kudam (milk pot) takers were given free of charge in order to attract the crowd to take part. Even the number of kavadi takers were reduced temendously this time around.

Surprising that temples all over the country experienced an unexpectedly large crowd.

At most temples, it was reported that banners were placed for the immediate release of the 5 Hindraf ISA detainees who had voiced their concern that Malaysian Indians had been marginalised.

CHANGE, EXPECTATION AND PROMISE - PM ABDULLAH & BARISAN NASIONAL

Almost everyday now we hear that our 'SLEEPING' Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (Pah Lah) is expected to dissolve Parliament and the 12th General Elections to be held between 8 to the 15 March 2008. Suddenly now he (Pah Lah) realises that the rakyat is totally very unhappy with his administration and seem to be 'begging' to be given another chance.
The rakyat had total confidence when Pah Lah took over from former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad, since he had portrayed a 'clean' image and the rakyat had expected that he would turn the country from its unclean and corrupt state. But now the rakyat realise that it was a total failure to have trusted this 'sleeping and irresponsible' man by giving an historical and stunning overwhelming victory during the last 2004 general elections.
It had been reported that Pah Lah had remarked 'there were high expectations, a lot of things to change, but I cannot change everything and there was an expectation,' and Pah Lah admits the acknowledgement of feelings that he has failed to fulfil some of his core promises.
The Malays in the rural areas still are in poverty although the New Economic Policy (NEP) gives them preferential status. Just take a look at Sabah. The BN government rules that state and yet the most recorded state of poverty is there.
Then the Indian population. Even after numerous warning, nothing moved until Hindraf had its peaceful street protest. Even then, until today nothing concrete has been planned or implemented except declaring Thaipsum a holiday.
The Chinese too are an unhappy lot. The Chinese will show during the ballot.
The Prime Minister was seen to have announced that poverty eradication of all races will be wiped out by his administration if the rakyat give their confidence once again. Being at an Indian gathering, Pah Lah never said that Indians plight would be foremost agenda to tackle. But if it were an UMNO or Malay gathering, Pah Lah would have stated that he would address the Malay problem. Just look at this double standard practiced by our leaders. We are all Malaysians and we need to ensure every race is well taken care. Taking an example, during the last UMNO Delegates Conference, UMNO division heads were given momentary awards in the form of benefits to support him. Why then did Pah Lah not offer these sort of direct benefits to the Indians at the recent Indian gathering. Petroleum prices are now at historical levels and since Petronas is unaccountable to the rakyat, Pah Lah could have given them without any questions been raised. Why was this not done. Just because they were Indians and third or fourth class citizens and are not entitled to these benefits and who cares about these 'stupid' Indians.
Can we trust Pah Lah and his Barisan Nasional government anymore?
This question only the rakyat can answer by showing who they want to have in the coming polls.
Malaysians need to realise that CHANGE can only happen if we change the BN government totally. The uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt nature will always be there with the BN. If we have a new party, then we can see tremendous change and since they want to show their promise, various changes will occur for the benefit of the rakyat on the whole.
Pah Lah can keep singing his song but NO ONE WILL LISTEN unless he formulates a policy to eradicate unfairness among the communities and concentrate on uplifting the status of the rakyat on the whole. Pah Lah would have to stop 'sleeping' and take control of the chair and not allow any one like the oxford scholar to dictate terms.
Fresh faces who are clean, responsible and those who think of all races be allowed to contest in the coming polls. Those who have failed or have created dis sentiments among the rakyat should be sidelined.
Until and unless these things are in place, the general elections could be called and the BN will regain its victory. Just worrying about Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's comeback into politics should not be a subject matter. If the BN government have delivered their promises, then why worry.
It is going to be fatal for the BN if they expect the people to give them another CHANCE. The rakyat will never forget, PROMISES made that were broken.
It may be too late to cry over split milk but if a concerted effort and momentum is started now to fulfill all the election pledges, the scenario would be different.
Only time will tell.

LINGAM : 'LOOKS LIKE ME, SOUNDS LIKE ME, BUT...'

It is really surprising to learn that 'learned friends' like Datuk V K Lingam have the cheek to use evasive words, which they know will undermined the testimonies given by any hearing, to help and support 'criminals' like himself, Tun Ahmad Fairuz, Tun Eusoff Chin, Tengku Adnan, Tan Sri Vincent Tan, Tun Dr Mahathir and others in the Lingam Video Tape Scandal from escaping prosecution.

The claim that 'it looks like me, it sounds like me' and when I am drunk ' I do not know what I am talking' demonstrates that this particular person is now claiming to be "MAD' which now could be labelled on him rather than his brother, whom he had made a doctor to produce medical reports to prove his point. Malaysians and the people of the world can now brand V K Lingam a 'mad person' and this Lingam should be placed in a mental asylum for the rest of his life, to teach him a lesson, while there he will eventually will be 'mad' as he claims to be.

Lingam knows that many injustice have been made by him by obtaining 'help' from these top judicial officers in cases brought by him to court and if the Royal Inquiry were to find him at fault, these cases may have to be reviewed since injustice had been done and the officials will also be charged for not upholding justice.

Another factor is the 'fixing of judges'. It seems that our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir had not followed the proper procedure to select responsible and suitable candidates for judicial appointments but had promoted 'crooks' on the advice of his close buddies to these appointments. This tarnish Tun Dr Mahathir's reputation since he claims to be the longest serving Prime Minister and had also claim to have brought great progress to our country. It is a disgrace that being a educated man, he had not used proper known and tested methods to make these appointments.

It seems very clear to the rakyat that the judiciary is not independent and many cases where decision were made had been tampered with which is injustice made to the rakyat. These judicial officers had been 'bought' to make decisions. Will the 'floodgates' of tampered decisions be made by the government to establish the truth and punish the criminals involved.

It looks like this Barisan Nasional government will be unable to protect the rakyat and only if they are VOTED OUT will confidence be restored to the rakyat. There are many other areas that corrupt and manipulation have been created and the rakyat bearing the burden. The Barisan Nasional government which is uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupted party will have to be replaced if we want to protect further misuses of power.

It is hoped that justice will prevail and those who have created 'injustice' in the Lingam Video Tape scandal are brought to justice and punished for their actions.

ARE MALAYSIAN INDIANS SATISFIED?

The government yesterday announced that Thaipusam is declared a public holiday for Kuala Lumpur and Putra Jaya, in their way to please the demands of the Malaysian Indian community. Less they realise that every thaipusam the roads and shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur are congested with people and cars making the life of the resident and workers in Kuala Lumpur a misery. Do you think the Indians are worried about this. Is this an offer to show they (BN government) care.

The Indians want the government to introduce a concerted programmes to uplift their community from the marginalising by the BN government for the last 50 years since Independence. What is expected is in the field of education, commerce and economics. If the government were to implement programmes on these fields, then the Indians would be able to uplift to a reasonable good level in our society. Will the BN government embark on these areas before the coming polls? Its all up to the BN government whether they value the contribution of the Indians who had always voted for the ruling government whole-heartedly.

Another matter of importance is the question of the 5 Hindraf innocent leaders held under ISA. The excuse offered by DPM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is really impossible to digest. Why should the Malays feel threaten when the NEP provides for their protection. When many sensitive issues were raised by UMNO leaders and when the rakyat had protested against them, none of these leaders were arrested and placed under ISA. Why this double stand. The Laws of Malaysia are to be respected by everyone irrespective of their ethnic background or political affiliation.

Malaysians are basically peaceful people and do not like street protest. The BN government had ignored every known channel and now trying to blame them. These leaders had given ample opportunity to the government to address the situation but the BN government felt that they being weak, they never expect that many Indians although with the ban, would turn up. Now the issue has become an international issue. Why no action was taken before this could have exploded. The BN government must have been SLEEPING and had always relied on MIC, which claims to be 'Indian champions' which is only interested in looking after the close buddies of the MIC leaders. MIC had failed in caring for their own community and it is too late to do anything.

Just bring 15,000 MIC members yesterday to show support is just to hoodwink the rakyat. The rakyat knows that various 'goodies' would have been offered to these people who attended yesterday event with the PM. The rakyat, especially the Indians could not be hoodwink anymore. The momentum has already begun by Hindraf and the Indian community expect their rights to be given as an equal partner in Malaysia and they are not going to give in to these small gimmicks.

Various events are planned in Malaysia and abroad and if the government does not address the Indian plight and release these innocent 5 Hindraf leaders, Malaysia is going to be embarrassed in the International world and it may affect certain services which will indirectly affect Malaysian daily lives.

Its all up to the BN government, whether they still want to remain in power. The majority Chinese are also discontented with the government but have yet to express and the coming polls will indicate their stand while majority Malays are still in poverty even after the NEP is suppose to have uplifted their lives. It seems only UMNO leaders are benefiting from them and not the grassroot or non-UMNO Malay members.

The rakyat need to show them by VOTING AGAINST the BN and only then will they in future be caring, effective, efficient and be corrupt-free.

Its NOW up to the rakyat to show their stand!!!!!

ABOUT 15,000 MIC MEMBERS ATTEND MIC GATHERING AT CHERAS.

About 15,000 MIC members and supporters were at a meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi this evening at the Cheras Badminton Stadium to show that the Indian community fully support the ruling Barisan Nasional government.

The Federal Territory MIC organised this “An Evening with the Prime Minister” event and it was a success.
It is hoped that since the support shown after the adverse effect shown by the recent Hindraf rally on November 25, 2007, the ruling Barisan Nasional will immediately introduce a programme to uplift the Indian Community who have been marginalised.

HINDRAF

No one knows that HINDRAF is now known as HUMAN RIGHTS ACTION FORCE, since a lot of criticism were raised about the term of 'hindu' in their previous name. It is now a charitable organisation. But they have decided to keep the HINDRAF logo.

HINDRAF is on its road to success since their efforts are felt by Malaysians although the ruling Barisan Nasional denies it. It has shaken, Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) for the first time in history.

If the efforts of any institution is to establish to promote peace and harmony, and bring out the flaws of society, then we can support them.

WILL THE GENERAL ELECTIONS BE HELD IN MARCH 2008?

Malaysians seems to be guessing the date our PM Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will dissolve Parliament and the 12th General Elections will be held. Since the Election Commissioner himself had announced that we can expect the elections to be held anytime now had send everyone guessing for the date.

Coffee shop talks seems to indicate March as the date our Prime Minister will hold the general elections. But there are reports to indicate which March, is it 2008 or 2009.

However, with mounting problems from rising cost of consumer goods to Indian community problems, until and unless some form of concerted efforts are made towards resolving these problems, it is extremely unlikely that our Prime Minister will dissolve Parliament unless he wants to take a great gamble.

Just fearing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's entry into politics, is just impossible to digest. Its true that Anwar has many 'worms to open up' since he was part of the Barisan Nasional leadership earlier. It is obvious that Anwar will retaliate for the suffering he had undergone.

But whatever said and done, this 12th General Elections would be a very emotional event.

We need to hear from Abdullah Ahmad Badawi the date he plans to dissolve Parliament.

MALAYSIAN INDIAN CONGRESS (MIC) PROTESTS CONSPIRACY CHARGE
(as reported by NewKerala.com news channel)

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 14: The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) has denied the charge that its chief S. Samy Vellu and his family members were involved in a conspiracy leading to the gunning down of party leader S. Krishnasamy.

Krishnasamy, a member of the Tengorrah assembly, was shot dead Friday.

Vellu, who is the Malaysian works minister, and his son have been named as conspirators in photocopied notices handwritten in Bahasa Malaysia that were found pasted on the front door of the party's headquarters in Medan Kidd as well as on several food stalls and buildings nearby.

The notices named Maika Holdings CEO S. Vell Paari, MIC Youth chief S.A. Vikneswaran and one Loga, said to be from the MIC's Sungai Siput unit, as co-conspirators.

Written underneath the names of Vell Paari (spelt Vel Pari in the notice) and Vikneswaran were the words "Pay Ringgit 3,000 can kill people easily", The New Straits Times reported Monday.

Calling himself "Rakyat Malaysia", the author claimed that Vellu had given Krishnasamy a two-week deadline to withdraw from the general election or face serious consequences.

The author also claimed that he had been an MIC member for 18 years.

MIC's Perak unit chairman G. Rajoo lodged a police report Sunday after being alerted about the notices.

Rajoo said the notices were the work of those who were "out to sully the party's name"."These are crazy allegations.

The MIC does not do things like this. Somebody is trying to destroy the party's reputation," he said.

Rajoo also dismissed the possibility that it was the work of an MIC member."No MIC member would do this.

Samy Vellu is like a father to all MIC members. How can a son go against his father in such a way?"

The conspiracy charge came even as an unnamed MIC leader said he too had received a death threat the same day. He said the caller spoke briefly and hung up.

Threats have been made against several senior MIC leaders. They have, however, not logged police complaints, dismissing them as an "occupational hazards", the newspaper said.

Malaysia's police chief, Inspector-General Musa Hassan, Sunday said Krishnasamy's killer had not been identified so far.

He refuted an earlier statement by Deputy Minister of Internal Security Mohamad Johari Baharum that the murder suspect had been identified.

Hasan said all they had was a description of the suspect and a photofit created from information gleaned from witnesses.

MALAYSIAN INDIAN CONGRESS (MIC) IS CRACKING-UP?

Insiders reveal that the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), one of the 'big brothers' in the ruling coalition of the Barisan Nasional (BN) is on its way to cracking-up in the wave of the Malaysian Indians being neglected and marginalised, for which it had always claimed to be 'the champion of the Indian race' but had done nothing concrete to see the future of the Indian community in Malaysia.

Power struggle is grooming and soon it will submerge. It would not be long that its current President, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu who had led the party for almost 30 years, will be demanded to ungracefully resign or be topple by his own selected members in the leadership.

The MIC is now in a fragile situation since many Malaysian Indians who are basically MIC grassroot members have demanded the resignation of Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu immediately. These people feel that after three decades of being the sole Indian cabinet minister in the government, he had done nothing except to help some close-buddies and his family, and at this critical moment, what could he accomplish since he had mislead and told lies about the problems faced by the Indian community in Malaysia. The only accomplishment that the MIC had done is to create a Indian gangsterism culture who are called in the BN circle and authorities as 'Indian Commandos' and their function is to threaten and beat-up any person who objects to the ideas or proposal put forward by the MIC leadership. It was made known that the Malaysian Police force had used the services of these 'Indian Commandos' to create unrest while the demolition of temples were carried out nationwide.

During his recent visit to India, the shame Samy Vellu had received speaks for itself.

There are rumours that a certain top leader is currently mounting pressure on Samy Vellu to give way for the MIC to regain its popularity. But many observers claim that this leader, who was selected by Samy Vellu is not capable and effective in doing anything solid that could settle the present crisis since he is deem really weak.

Due to this current events, the MIC is in turmoil and other aspiring leaders are trying to garner greater support so that they could lead the MIC with the departure of Samy Vellu which is expected any time now.

These matters will haunt the MIC since various events have been planned locally and international by a certain Indian group which the BN government claims to be an illegal group to express the plights of the Indian community. These will keep the government with mounting pressure while in the international circle, the good name and reputation seem to be in a bad state. These will affect various dealings and create a problem for Malaysia. These effects are currently not felt directly since fuel prices are soaring but eventually Malaysians will feel the effect.

Time for the government to directly involve themselves to implement a reasonable acceptable policy to uplift the Indian community immediately failing which the current state will go beyond their control and will be really detriment to the BN ruling government with the coming polls.

MALAYSIAN INDIANS TIME-BOMB EXPLODES!!!!

The total unconcern attitude by the Malaysian government led by the Barisan Nasional coalition towards the Malaysian Indians is exploding to greater heights day by day. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's attitude towards the plight of Malaysian Indians seems to be a sort of unconcerning since nothing concrete and firm have been pipe-lined. There has been no news about any concerted plans implemented or about to be implemented have been announced so far. The only thing that seems to have taken place is Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu and his MIC have printed a colourful book to show that Malaysian Indians are not what has been pictured but are a happy lot. But contrary to this, there is a video clip that highlights a different and untold sentimental story(as presented below) of the plights of Indian in Malaysia.

Malaysian Indian dilemma 1/6

Malaysian Indian dilemma 2/6

Malaysian Indian dilemma 3/6

Malaysian Indian dilemma 4/6

Malaysian Indian dilemma 5/6

Malaysian Indian dilemma 6/6

These video clips reveal how the Malaysian authorities have neglected their call for assistance from demolition of hindu temples, education and many others that they the Indians feel that an unkept promise that were made just to buy votes during the last few general elections.

The latest events reveal that this community is not going to subdue itself to any pressure until and unless the government looks into and does what they want to be done to protect their community from being marginalised further.

It was reported recently that 10,000 roses would be delivered to PM Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi by the Indian community on February 16, 2008, just two days after Valentine's Day.

A meeting was held last night in London to have a protest march on February 1, 2008 and subsequently to present a Petition to the British Government and Foreign Office expressing the plights of the Malaysian Indians and to pressure the Malaysian government to settle these unsettled matters immediately.

The meeting also discussed that on February 14, 2008, a group of Malaysian Indians residing in London will stage a hunger strike at Trafalagar Square at the same time as observed by their counterparts at Malaysia and Canada. It was also mentioned that on February 16, 2008 a group of Malaysian Indian will call at the Malaysian High Commissioner Office in London to hand over roses as similar to the incident that will take place in Malaysia.

Its had been noted that various events are scheduled to happen throughout the world to seek international attention on their issue. It is going to tarnish the good name and reputation of Malaysia in the international world and may affect many services that Malaysia is current relying upon.

Whatever been done, it is felt that the Malaysian Indians have given ample opportunity to the Malaysian government to amend their attitude towards the Indian community and failure by them to look and address these matters have created this EXPLOSION OF THIS TIME-BOMB and no one else is to be blamed except themselves (BN coalition government).

The next general election will be very detrimental to the Barisan Nasional coalition if nothing is forthcoming.

New strain on Malaysia's ethnic ties
By Robin Brant BBC News, Kuala Lumpur

Relations are not good right now between the Malaysian government and the two million plus people living here who are descended from Indian migrants.

There is confusion over exactly what has happened in recent days, but if the government really has decided to tighten up its visa policy for all Indian migrant workers, it would be a startling diplomatic gesture.

Just as political leaders across the world are lining up to do deals with India, Malaysia appears to have gone the other way.

It is unexpected, to say the least.

India and Malaysia have a long history of close cultural, economic and political ties.

Indians migrated here in their thousands in the 1800s, to work the rubber plantations. There are now more than two million Malaysian Indians.

But dissent has been brewing. It boiled over with a public protest last November - a rare thing here.

Thousands took to the streets to demonstrate, in defiance of a police ban.

The cabinet decision to suspend visas is proof that the event, with images of riot police and water cannons beamed around the world, has shaken those at the top of government.

They are worried - worried about instability and what it might do to the economy, and worried about the delicate coalition that is modern-day Malaysian society.

'No trust'

Indians are one of the three dominant groups here.

The Chinese established communities over centuries. Together with the Malays they all make for a fragile but mostly harmonious mix.

This mix is in trouble now, though, according to Manjit Bhatsia, an academic and writer who was born in Malaysia but now lives and works in Australia.

"The big problem that we have is that nobody trusts each other anymore," he said.

"There's a working relationship, a very strong working relationship at the top level of society, but at every other level of society it just doesn't work.

"That's the problem, this administration needs to understand that it has created a monster."

The root problem is the years of discrimination some Malaysian Indians say they have endured, accusing ethnic Malays of enjoying preferential treatment.

A government strategy to lift the majority Malays out of poverty has ensured discounts on housing, quotas for civil service jobs, and places at university for the bumiputera, the "sons of the soil".

Malaysia is riding high on an oil-fuelled boom.

Ethnic Indians see Malays enjoy the spoils of political domination and the Chinese reap economic rewards.

They feel left behind, and some are demanding change.

The men who organised the march in Kuala Lumpur six weeks ago are in prison now.

They were arrested and detained indefinitely under stringent security laws, having been deemed a threat to national security.

"It's a very delicate situation in Malaysia," the country's deputy prime minister told me when I interviewed him last weekend.

In a blunt assessment of the fragility of the ethnic mix here, Najib Tun Razak said: "The underlying problems that we have can easily erupt between the communities."

As for the demonstration, illegal under Malaysian law, he said: "If we allow street demonstrations to take place on a regular basis, it will in fact entice or aggravate other sections of the community who want to respond to it."

There is a history of racial violence in Malaysia. In one incident in 2001, six men died in a week of clashes between Malays and Malaysian Indians in an area west of Kuala Lumpur called Kampung Medang.

It started when a man kicked over a chair as he passed a wedding celebration.

Some of the victims were hacked to death.

With a general election approaching, there is a fear, even an expectation among some, that the clashes in Kampung Medang could be repeated.

I have walked around the new estate which has since risen up to replace the squats in the Kampung Medang.

One simple image conveys the divide.

On one side of a road, running through the low-rise tower blocks, I saw a Malaysian Indian making roti - thin fried bread - in a restaurant.

On the other side of the road, a Malay man was chopping chicken to order as a Malay woman in a headscarf selected fish from an ice-packed polystyrene box.

They live side by side but most people will tell you that they do not share their lives.

I interviewed one of the men who organised the protest in November just before he was arrested.

P Uthayakumar said the public demonstrations would go on.

"What else can we do?" he said. "We've exhausted all avenues."

The government has made it clear it will not tolerate any more marches. The organisers are locked up, indefinitely.

The decision to tighten visa controls for Indian workers wishing to come here was a message sent on the international stage but to a domestic audience - along the lines of: "Stop what you are doing or we will make life difficult for your friends and relatives seeking to join you".

As Malaysia prepares to elect a new government, the stakes are high.

Malaysia is oil-rich and developing quickly. Stability is the key.

At the moment, Malaysia is in a rare state of instability.

ELECTION FEVER BEGINS......

Malaysians are feeling the heat while everywhere the word is 'election is just around the corner'. Whether its true or false, the general election need to be held by next year when the term of the present elected representatives expires. The last general elections was held on 21 March 2004. Barisan Nasional (BN) insiders seem to be quoting that the election would be held before Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the former Deputy Prime Minister, and currently Adviser of KEADILAN becomes eligible to stand for election. The Election Commissioner, Tan Sri Rashid had told the press to be ready for a general election within a couple of months, while police and military personnel's' leave have all been frozen with immediate effect. These are indicators that the general election is about to be held.

But there are various problems still unresolved by the ruling government. The HINDRAF issue, BERSIH issue, Lingam Video scandal and so forth still haunt the ruling coalition's chances in the coming polls. Until most of these issues are somewhat resolved, the BN will lose a substantial number of election seats in this coming polls. Are they prepared for this? Observers quote that they may even lose this coming election to the opposition parties.

But to the rakyat its time once again to cast their votes. Various goodies would be offered by the BN, to gain the trust of the rakyat to vote for them. Many promises would be heard been made to secure victory for the BN. Statements like, a known and capable coalition (that is BN) is better than an unknown and untested opposition coalition'.

But whatever the circumstances, it all up to the rakyat to cast their vote. The rakyat need to be very careful in making this decision.

Let's wait for the official announcement from the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Then, its confirm, the election fever has commenced.

MALAYSIAN INDIAN CONGRESS (MIC) - SHOULD TAKE TOTAL BLAME

There has been clear signals that the 'Indian's champions', Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) and its officials are to be blamed for current situation faced by the Malaysian Indian community. The Barisan Nasional leadership had always accommodated most of the request but the fulfillment of these projects or programmes were always not carried out by the MIC officials for certain unknown reasons. At certain points, grants and other benefits were channel to other sources to gain political mileage by the MIC.

The time has come for the Malaysian Indians specially the MIC members to demand an explanation from its leader Datuk Seri S Samy Vellu and other officials why these sort of situation had arised.

Just blaming the UMNO and Barisan Nasional by the Indian community would be unfair.

So, Samy Vellu, Palanivel, Sothinathan, Dr S. Subramaniam, Vigneswaran, Komala Krishnamoorthy and other MIC officials, give us the explanation, not just to the MIC but also to the whole rakyat.

Its time for the MIC members to revamp the MIC totally and get rid of these uncaring, ineffective, inefficient, corrupt and 'liar' leaders once for all.
ANTI-ISA CROWD DISPERSED BY POLICE AT DATARAN MERDEKA

It has been reported that an Anti-ISA crowd who were holding a short candlelight vigil at Dataran Merdeka, who had defied an earlier ban, were dispersed by the police, who had using water cannon against them.

A detailed account of the situation is reported in http://mycardinalpoint.blogspot.com/ .

The government need to review its ISA Act since we are independent for almost more than 50 years and this sort of Act indirectly curbs the rakyat for voicing out their grievances.

At the same time, it sends a clear picture to the government that they need to address these grievances immediately before the rakyat take more drastic steps.

This special prayer was conducted for the speedy release of these innocent people from detention.
It is also hoped that the Malaysian government will immediately implement a programme to uplift the Malaysian Indian community who have been neglected for such a long time.

SAMY VELLU AWAKES AND INTENDS TO HOLD HUGE GATHERING OF SUPPORT

It had been reported today that the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) will be holding a gathering with more than 15,000 MIC members and supporters on January 20, 2008 at the Cheras Badminton Stadium to show the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership that the Malaysian Indians are solidly behind the ruling government. The Prime Minister, who is BN head, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak are expected to attend and witness this gathering of support.

It is really surprising that the MIC under Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu's leadership of more than 29 years have never feared the Malaysian Indians, although Samy Vellu had not done anything concrete for the well-being of the Indians at large but only concentrated on a few close buddies.

This clearly shows the impact made by HINDRAF had tarnish the so-called good name of the MIC in the BN and by holding this gathering, Samy Vellu hopes to hoodwink the rakyat that the Indians are fully supporting the MIC and the BN and the MIC is the 'champion of the Indians'. But Samy Vellu fail to realise that everybody knows that these so-called 15,000 people would be 'paid' to attend this gathering.

What really Samy Vellu should do is to get the approval of the government for certain benefits that will uplift the Indian community at large. Almost every Indian in Malaysia knows he or she is treated as fourth class citizens in Malaysia and they could be fooled every time with empty promises made.

It would be time for the Indians to stand up against Samy Vellu and his MIC, even though if he uses his gangsterism tactics, which he normal uses in most circumstances to get a upper hand.

The recent HINDRAF rally should be used as a boaster and it is time for the Indians to clearly send a message to MIC and BN that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, its time for some concrete and concerted efforts by the government to implement immediately certain beneficial programmes to uplift the Indian community.

MIC and other Indian majority BN parties may think of fooling the Indians, but BN leadership must be warned that in most constituencies, the Indian votes are the deciding factor.

Like what Martin Luther King said, " I have a dream', and this same dream is what had motivated the HINDRAF leaders, who had no reason to personally gain anything, but knew of the consequences of their action and had accepted what was coming in order to see that Indians are no longer victimised by the Malaysian government.

Indians have no 'big' demands, and the only thing they seek is government assistance in every field so that the Indian community will not be left far behind.

Even this request is unable to be accommodated by the ruling government, its time for drastic action - to get rid of this uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt BN government in the coming polls.

CHUA RESIGNS FROM ALL POSTS

It has been announced that over the sex DVD scandal, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has tendered his resignation as Health Minister, MCA vice-president, Johor MCA chief and Labis Member of Parliament.

Now, it is time for the authorities to charge Chua for this action. If an illegal act has been committed, he needs to be prosecuted.

PM Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will have to revamp his Cabinet in lieu of this resignation. It is hope that a major overhaul of the Cabinet be done, since many Ministers had failed to perform as expected and some had tarnish our reputation and integrity.

CHUA SHOULD GRACEFULLY RESIGN IMMEDIATELY

This is the video clip of Chua's confession towards the act.

We need to appreciate the frankness of Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek that he is the one in the 'sex DVD' circulated in Johor. But whatever the reasoning, it is not proper for him to remain in office since the act is an 'unwelcome trend' in our culture an we do not want to promote.

Chua should resign immediately.

The authorities would have to immediately take action against Chua for committing this offence.
