Malaysiakini reported that UMNO and PAS had 3 secret muzakarah or dialogue on power-sharing after the disastrous March 8 general elections and if their discussions had been successful, the rakyat would have seen UMNO/BN controlling all the States through the 'back door' concept which UMNO is famous of doing at any cost, just to remain and control 'power'.
To avoid controversies from the faithfully voters from non-PAS members and non-Malays, they had kept it a secret but when it was exposed by UMNO Supreme Council member and former Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Khir Toyo, they have deem these meetings or dialogue to relate to Malay Unity or Islamic Unity.
Yesterday, PAS Spiritual Leader and Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat had proposed the dissolution of both PAS and UMNO and the setting up of a new Islam-based political party to unite the Malays and enable Islam to be the protective umbrella for all the rakyat, including non-Muslims which will fulfilled the objectives of all endeavours, including political struggle, and should form the basis of political parties seeking to uphold the true political struggle while talking to reporters after opening the 37th "Muktamar" (meeting) of Kelantan PAS "Dewan Ulama" (Assembly of Muslim Scholars).
It was further reveal by PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that these meetings were just attended by 'junior' leaders and PAS does not want a repeat of incidence that happen when PAS had withdrew from Barisan Nasional some years ago. PAS members were made victim of a political revenge like scholarships withdrawn and so forth which had created 'uneasiness among its members then. PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reaffirmed that their collaboration with Pakatan Rakyat remains and is in tact and informed that PR leaders are fully aware of their 'faithful' stand.
UMNO seem to be desperate in regaining 'power' and feel that by creating 'unrest' in the PR coalition would give them a edge. Since this arrangement by PR partners are relatively new and any 'unrest' will create a rift since previous reunions had shown these results. UMNO as usual wanted to expoilt the situation to their advantage.
UMNO's popularity seems to be diminishing day to day by the rakyat since they are uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupt in every manner and the rakyat seem to feel that they are a liability for the progress of the nation. Recent price hikes, cronyism, corruption and many others are matters that the rakyat dislike which the rakyat is trying to eradicate so that the rakyat can live in peace and harmony.
To make matters worst for UMNO/BN, PR had indicated they will form the next new Malaysian government by 16 September 2008, which the rakyat hope will become a reality. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had recently also reveal that he is the prime minister in the waiting which had given a boost to the rakyat that their hopes will be a reality.
Datuk Seri Anwar had commenced his political rally and told the Pakatan Rakyat alliance was not keen on seizing power just for the sake of it but it was a bid to save the Malaysian economy from jahanam or being destroyed. Datuk Seri Anwar rationalised that the move to contest in a by-election was necessary as Sabah and Sarawak MPs had stressed that he should do so if he is serious, then he must enter Parliament first before any cross-over will take place.
This seem to show that UMNO/BN are already having their FEARS and if NOTHING happens will become a LIABILITY for the rakyat to endure.
