Malaysiakini reported that Deputy Foreign Minister, Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri that the Immigration Department did not revoke Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) Chairperson P Waythamoorthy's passport although it had received an instruction to do so while the government with the assist of the British government had been monitoring his activities abroad although this was denied by the Deputy Minister at Parliament today. Waythamoorthy is currently in self-imposed exile in London.
Datuk Abdul Rahim informed that Waythamoorthy still holds a Malaysian passport overseas and can still utilise it.
It seem surprising that when a dissent group and if it does not constitute UMNOputras are treated like 'enemies' by the government. HINDRAF had raised the concern on the plights of the Indians since they are treated worst than third class citizens when they are citizens of Malaysia.
It time for the government to look into their plight and address the weakness failing which this BN government will lose its grip very soon since the Indians had always been very loyal supporters of the BN at every polls even when promises were unkept.
