Perlis Speaker: Titi Tinggi rep withdraws quit letter

The state assemblyperson for Titi Tinggi Yip Sun Onn has withdrawn his resignation letter, according to Perlis state legislative assembly speaker Yazid Mat.

According to Yazid, Yip stated his intentions to withdraw the letter through a cellphone text message at about 7pm today.

"He has repented from his action (of resigning) and is now prioritising his party and constituents," Yazid told Malaysiakini.

He assured that Barisan Nasional did not entice him to stay put as a state assemblyperson with any kind of offers or promises.
