Tourism Minister Dr Ng Yen Yen confirmed today she will defend her vice-presidency in the MCA elections on March 28.
"I will defend it and I will co-operate with anyone," she told reporters when replying to a question at a tourism news conference, here.
Ng was among the 22 MCA central committee members who resigned last week to pave the way for the fresh party polls.
She was one of the four people elected vice-president in the party elections in October 2008.
Nominations for all top party posts will held on March 22. The contest will see three key factions seeking control of the nation's second biggest party in the ruling coalition.
Political observers considered Ng not aligned to any of the warring factions.
