KARPAL SINGH SAYS PRIME MINISTER DATUK SERI ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI SHOULD SHUT-UP AND NOT INFLUENCE POLICE INVESTIGATION

Malaysiakini reported that DAP chairman and Member of Parliament for Bukit Gelugor, Karpal Singh has warned Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his ministers not to volunteer unsolicited comments that may compromise police investigations into PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s alleged sodomy offence.
Datuk Seri Anwar was arrested on Wednesday over sodomy allegations levelled against him by his ex-aide Saiful Bukhari Azlan and he had refused to give a DNA sample on grounds that the sample could be tampered with. Datuk Seri Anwar will not consent to giving a DNA sample even if the police obtain a court order unless stringent conditions are met. This includes having all medical samples and examinations or tests conducted in relation to the sodomy allegation must be proven to have been carried out professionally and without interference.
Karpal also noted that there is no legal provision in the Criminal Procedure Code to compel a person arrested in the course of investigations to undergo DNA tests. Karpal pointed out that former judge Datuk K C Vohrah in 2000 ruled that a person is perfectly entitled to refuse DNA testing while the judge added that whoever carries out such testing without the person’s consent would violate Section 232 of the Penal Code for voluntary causing hurt to a person.
On that grounds, Karpal had urged the executive to leave the investigation to the police. Karpal added that “Datuk Seri Anwar is entitled to an investigation which is not procedurally flawed and contaminated by outbursts from politicians in high places.”
Karpal had made this remark in response to Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar quoted as saying that “What is (Datuk Seri Anwar) afraid of? Give blood sample for the sake of truth,” as reported by New Straits Times yesterday.
Karpal further claimed that Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar should be prepared to face the consequences for defaming Datuk Seri Anwar for these statements and innuendos.
From the scenario, it seem that this whole episode seem to be a political conspiracy of the Barisan Nasional government to undermine the STRONG and ABLE Opposition who are speculated to topple them very soon and form the next Malaysian government.

Syed Albar must be taught a hard lesson. For most growing bald is being wisdom. But Syed Albar it is opposite for he has lost his brain together with his hair.
Based on his performance, I am quite certain during his tenure as foreign affair minister he must have made the world leaders to think very low of Malaysians' intelligence.
What kind of minister is this man ah?

I have never seen the Government being so desperate to hold on. To comment on a case when it is still under investigation is trying to influence the public via the main stream media.

This is not your regular Joe or Jane, it's the PM and the Home Minister for pete's sake. Don't they have a slew of advisers, don't they know it is in bad faith or I should think the most likely reason is they just don't care about what is right anymore.

SUBJUDICE.........

Charge the mother f**kers. Bloody BODOWI and BADWI.

By the way, what a stupid statement today saying IGP and AG would not involve in the investigation

IGP and AG technically are still the bosses. They may not involve directly but they can ORDER DO THIS AND THAT.

If their subordinate did not follow, they are subject to disciplinary actions.

Unless they are suspended or probably do what was did to the Immigration BASTARDS or better still dishonourably discharge them, the integrity of the investigation and MALAYSIA are at stake.

Hi Chong

Basically Pak Lah is considerably smart enough. The fool who repeat the 10 years ago story is even stupid. Or conversely, they think Malaysian is stupid, i think they never see their own face from the mirror every morning, -- big nose pig!!!!

Shit Hamid Albar, will you just zip up! When you open your filthy mouth, only shit comes out...you are a blooming disgrace to Malaysia.
I feel sorry for Bolehland, a Home Minister, making incorrect and unlawful statements. Go and do what you do best, be a traffic cop,
since you love road blocks so much.
