'I was asked to link 'First Couple' to Altantuya murder'

Kulim Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Noordin claimed today that he was approached several times to implicate Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor in the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

NONEWhile debating the motion of thanks on the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat today, Zulkifli claimed a "third party" had offered him a large sum of money to draft a statutory declaration to implicate the "First Couple".

He said the offer was made during the Altantuya murder trial. Zulkifli was initially counsel for Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, one of the three accused.
"The reward offered was indeed quite tempting."
Zulkifli said refused the offer to implicate Najib and Rosmah and withdrew as Azilah's lawyer.
"I'm thankful to Allah for keeping me from being involved in that slanderous act."
