According to the police report lodged by Anwar's lawyer R Sivarasa, Musa, the investigating officer in the case, told the court that he had a law degree.However, Musa had told another court in 2009 that he in fact held a “diploma in law and management studies”.
He revealed the information during the corruption trial of former Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief Ramli Yusuff.
“The IGP has given a false statement by stating that he holds a law degree during the cross-examination of Anwar's case, but in reality he only has a diploma in law,” said Sivarasa when contacted.
