Karpal challenges Zul Noordin on ‘third force’ claim in Altantuya murder

DAP National Chairman Karpal Singh today challenged Kulim Bandar-Baharu MP Zulkifli Noordin to reveal the names of those who allegedly ordered him to implicate Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and wife,
Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Karpal, in his speech in Parliament earlier today, questioned Zulikifli’s motives.

He asked why Zulkifli had waited for four years to drop the ‘bombshell’.

“I challenge the Kulim Bandar-Baharu MP to state who this third force is? The people who allegedly told him to implicate the PM and his wife in the murder.”

“Why now, after four years?” asked Karpal.

Karpal, who is Bukit Gelugor MP, challenged Zulkifli to reveal the names of the supposed “third force” without parliamentary immunity and dared him to make a police report.

“I challenge him to reveal this third force outside of Parliament. I challenge him to make a police report. If it is not true, he can be charged in court for false reporting,” said Karpal.

Yesterday, during his inaugural speech as an Independent MP, Zulkifli told Parliament that he was one of the lawyers involved in the murder case, and that he withdrew from it because there was a “third force” behind the scenes.

Initially, he was a lawyer for Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, one of the three accused.

“I was asked to implicate the prime minister and [his] wife in the murder case. I was asked to get their sworn statements and I was asked to make a sworn statement,” the Kulim-Bandar Baharu MP had told the Dewan Rakyat.

“The reward that was offered could definitely shake one’s faith, so I withdrew from acting on the case because there is a third force acting on the case,” he said.

Later on, Zulkifli scoffed at Karpal’s open challenge.

“Karpal? He can go naik kapallah! He is a dinosaur who is past his shelf life,” said Zulkifli.
