Perak will host its next state assembly sitting on March 30.
The sitting will be the first one after Perak Pakatan Rakyat representatives promised to make nice with their foes in Barisan Nasional’s administration under Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
The Malaysian Insider received confirmation from Speaker Datuk R. Ganesan this afternoon that notices to attend the sitting had already been sent out to the state’s 59 assemblymen.
It remains to be seen however, how the Pakatan representatives plan to attend the sitting for although they agreed to cooperate with Barisan, they have insisted that the Speaker’s post still belonged to DAP’s V. Sivakumar.
They had agreed to cooperate with Barisan after the Federal Court decided on Feb 9 that Zambry was the rightful mentri besar of Perak, and not ousted leader Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.
