PAS seeks royal hand to terminate APCO contract

PAS is seeking the intervention of the Rulers Council in terminating the contract between the BN federal government and public relations firm APCO Worldwide.

PAS deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa submitted a memorandum, signed by its president Abdul Hadi Awang and all PAS MPs, to an officer to the Keeper of the Rulers Council in Kuala Lumpur today.

PAS feels that the BN Federal government arrangement with APCO will create a negative perceptions about Malaysia in the eyes of the world especially among Muslim nations since Israel has violated and encroached into Palestinian territory. How can we sign an agreement with a company that is associated with Israel's atrocities on Palestinians? This is unacceptable to all Malaysians.

Salahuddin who is Bachok MP said PAS is bringing this matter to the Rulers Council, as it is the avenue of last resort in a constitutional monarchy since the BN federal government is in defiance.
