No shares in Ascot Sports, says Ibrahim

MP for Pasir Mas, Datuk Ibrahim Ali has denied that he owns any shares in Ascot Sports, which is owned by tycoon Vincent Tan. Datuk Ibrahim further claimed that this lie is an attempt to tarnish his reputation for upholding the rights of Malays.

In a mobile message to Malaysiakini, Datuk Ibrahim was ready to swear, wallahi wa billahi (by Allah and in His name) and to swear on the Quran, to prove that I do not have anything to do with while I have no shares and I am not at all (even by proxy) in the gaming company of Vincent Tan.

Datuk Ibrahim has challenged the Securities Commission to carry out an investigation to prove the allegation made by MP for Machang Saifuddin Nasution is incorrect.
