Malaysiakini reported that it is predicted that Datuk Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim will challenge current President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for the President's position in the coming polls. This was revealed by former President and premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today after Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin backing out.

Dr. Rais yatim is the MAN to pose the challenge. Will he garner enough votes (30% ) ? Now that the Vice-President My\uhyuddin has chickened out, the former PM is backing another horse! Will he ride and gallop away? Or will he bolt ? The coming weeks will see whether he could set the momentum to ride on. Or he will ride to the sunset!

I think he will go for it if he get enough nominations. He stated in today's papers that he declined as he dont think he can get enough nominations, and not bcos he will not win. Yes, he will go for it if he get enough support and he is a better intellectual in his thinking and approach than we know who.
