It was reported in theStar that suspended UMNO member and former Bukit Bendera UMNO Divisional Chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail was given a warrior’s welcome, complete with presentation of regalia such as a keris (traditional Malay sword), when he turned up for the division’s delegates conference today.
The UMNO Supreme Council had suspended and stripped off all Datuk Ahmad Ismail's UMNO position for three years following an uproar over race-related statements he made in a ceramah (political address) in Permatang Pauh where he had referred to the Chinese Community in Malaysia a 'mere squatters' or pendatang (immigrants). Datuk Ahmad had also instigated his supporters to tear and condemn former Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon's picture in public.
This new incident demonstrates that Datuk Ahmad Ismail is defying the government ruling and his continued presence in being classified as a 'UMNO hero' should be arrested and detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) to deter other Malaysians from following his footsteps.
Will the government arrest and detain him under ISA in the name of public security?
Or will it be that UMNOputras can do and say anything....but nothing happens.

Datuk Ahmad are one of those Malays who voices out the thoughts of many Malays who are not able to say things such as these in public. I don't think he meant any harm but he just wanted to set the record straight that Malaysia's original people are still the Malays.
When you carry the title "Bumiputra" or anak Melayu, you live and die for your country. How many Indians & Chinese would live & die for this country. I can bet my last bottom dollar, should there be any war, riot or political turmoil in this country, the first people to pack and run out to other countries would definately be the Chinese people., second would be the Eurasians and later the educated & rich Indians.
The Chinese would go anywhere they & their money are accepted. That is why they rather invest in foreign banks such as Citibanks & HSBC rather than local banks.
India is ever willing to take the Indians as long as your are of Indian origin and the Eurasians & others go to Australia, UK, (Orang putih country).
Where do the "Bumiputras" go? They have to stay and defend their country. This also includes the Sabahan & Sarawakians.
Can you ever think of a Malaysian Chinese who would ever take up the rifle to fight the enemies of the country to bloodshed.
The day when this really happens, that would be the day, the Chinese are to be called true "Bumiputras".
As far as I have known them, may it be in Indonesia, Fiji, Thailand or any other country in the world, they always ran when they are needed. They are there only to do business, make their money and move on should there be trouble.
Loyalty like the Malays, Orang Asli, Sabahan's and all Sawarakians will NEVER be in the Chinese since to them THIS IS MY COUNTRY.
The Indian community are of mixed feelings. the rich will also run to foreign land but the average & poorer ones will stay.
"BUMIPUTRA" is not just a matter of a name, title, benefit,advantages and so on but with it comes Responsibility, courage, sense of belonging and above all LOVE for the country.
