RAJA PETRA INTERROGATED BY POLICE OVER ISLAM

The MalaysiaToday blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin who was just released from ISA at Kamunting Detention Centre at Taiping was once again interrogated by the Sentul District Police for an hour from 2.30pm today.

It was reported that about 2.40pm, Raja Petra was seen making a police report against JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) where the Mufti Perak had stated that ISA detainees can be made not to perform their Friday prayers and subsequently he was refused in performing his Friday prayers at the Kamunting Detention Centre while under detention which is compulsory for Muslims to perform.

The present matter is investigated over a report made by Jakim, Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah (Jawi), Yayasan Dakwah Islam Malaysia (Yadim) and Mufti Perak.

Raja Petra was accompanied by his wife, Marina Lee Abdullah, lawyers S Majitsidhu and C Jadadish with a small group of supporters.

Raja Petra was seen leaving the Sentul District Police Station at after 3.30pm.
