With the recent announcement of Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Utama Rais Yatim that the Malaysian government has decided to recognise and establish diplomatic ties with Kosovo, the Serbia government has ordered Malaysia's envoy Saw Ching Hong to leave the country within 48 hours (reported by theSTARmy).
However, Serbia still considers Kosovo as one of its provinces and Russia, a veto-wielding member of the UN Security Council, has backed its ally Belgrade in the dispute.
