ALL EYES ON UMNO SUPREMO DATUK AHMAD ISMAIL

UMNO President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is facing mounting pressure within his coalition partners to take swift and decisive action against UMNOputra, Datuk Ahmad Ismail, who recently stirred up a storm with comments that allegedly described the Chinese community as squatters or lodgers in the country while tearing the picture of GERAKAN Acting President Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon with the intention of humilating him and demanding that GERAKAN be expel from the Barisan Nasional coalition.

Since yesterday's Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting had endorsed a request that UMNO should deal effective the matter as regards to its member and the rakyat is await for the decision made.

But whatever the circumstances, the public had voiced that Datuk Ahmad should immediately be arrested and charged under ISA while his membership in UMNO should be revoked.

Will the UMNO leadership take similar action or just play along their usual 'double standard' practice of just doing nothing.

3 years suspension is peanuts to ismail! he is all smile and arrogant as ever for his comments after knowing the verdict.

i'm disappointed with the non-bumi components accepting such a weak punishment for ismail especially de koh who has his photo tore down for the whole world to see.

for me, they should go for the ultimate to INSIST its umno member ismail to apologise or face Sedition Act while azhar ibrahim to be stripped of all ranks and be detained for at least one year for his threatening and scary message that the chinese reporter to be shot!! also, all umno members who visibly supported ahmad during that time be sacked from the party of which these non-bumi components shared with.

if the above can't be fulfilled, it should LEAVE BN immediately and i am very sure that the rakyat is convinced then that these non-components are really the voices of the non-bumi.

even the weak lamb dr rais pleaded that ismail not to be put under ISA. what is so special or threatening about ismail?? dr rais failed as always in his job as foreign minister and not wanted to meddle into the home minister's affair?? laid off-lah , dr rais and don't do double-standard system!!

i'm very sure the home minister is now keeping a low profile bcs it is like 'killing' his own child if ISA is on ismail. the thing about this case is that the police really act VERY VERY SLOW ( though countless reports had been made against him ) unlike the case against DSAI which was blown out of portion by the 'controlled media' that DSAI is already the criminal . if i am the police who acts professionally and justly, just get a copy of ismail's verbal reamrks during the P44 and charge him if he didn't utter 'chinese ancestors were illegals but now present chinses are legals' .

all in all, i think bn is still protecting ismail and his supporters for lame punishment. its ok i guess because when there is another election, don't blame the voters for not supporting even for the non-bumi components!! it will be too late to say or be sorry then.
