Bukit Bendera UMNO division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail has been suspended for three years from the party over his racial slur against the Chinese community.
The announced was made by party president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi after an emergency supreme council meeting which lasted about three hours this afternoon.
Datuk Seri Abdullah quoted that "the supreme council's opinion in this matter is that the statement and actions of Datuk Ahmad had caused tension and raised objections by BN component parties and we view this seriously".
Its a real JOKE. As expected UMNOputras could say and do anything and no action would be taken like ISA or charged under the Sedition Act.
It is expected that the other BN component parties are expected to voice their dissatisfaction since they had expected very stern action so that it will be a reminder to others not to raise these sort of issues in future.
After hearing the action by UMNO supreme council, Datuk Ahmad was still defiant and has no desire to be apologetic.
It seems that the best solution would be the BN government to detain him under ISA to avoid further occurrence.
Will BN or UMNO which head the government do it?

All 3 from UMNO Penang. The Ixxx bim Ismail is from Tonjong Tokong Branch. Was President of Malay Contractots Association. Wrong doings:-
1. Stole and kept all favoured contracts to himself
2. Forged a Bank Officer's signature and got away without paying a loan taken to finance his project to carry out maintenance work in Penang Bridge.
So looks like very illustrious bin Ismail's in Penang and they all look for mamak than malay.

I think he's very lucky to be suspended 3 years form high post in UMNO division. By right he should be suspended as UMNO members . UMNO has too many of this racist type. That's why BN lost so badly in the recent by election.
The police MUST put him jailed for ISA so that others won't dare to follow his foot step.
call it racial slurs, racist remarks, inciting hate...WHAT? only suspend from holding party posts for 3 years for such a serious offence? if you and i were to utter such words in public, you'll find the SB people come knocking on your doors. no..oh no, there must be a mistake somewhere. double standards? different sets of laws for the umnoputras?
does he still have chinese friends? can he live or go anywhere without facing the chinese community at all? did he and all his followers ever thought about this?
No, no, no… Dato' Ahmad Ismail should NOT be arrested under ISA. SO do the hindraf etc... In fact ISA should have been abolished. Look at the brighter side, Pak Lah is not fond in using ISA now; a good start. Police might charge him in the court - we will see.
That is the Ahmad Ismail's voice - we shouldn’t generalize it as the people's voice.

the thing that amused me about ahmad ismail is even after the verdict, he spent no time waste to accuse dr koh for his sacking and this is the reward he gets for supporting gerakan 18 years!! he even said that though koh has won the 1st round, this is not the end - he will be back!!
suddenly, after ismail 'demised', another star is 'born'. this time it is azhar ibrahim (penang umno secretary) saying the chinese reporter should be the FIRST to be shoot down for her reports!!
i hopefully reporter journalist Tan Hoon Cheng of Sin Chew Daily has gone to make a police report against this fanatic for her personal safety!! we will see what will police or AG do about this so-called azhar about whether they walk their talks or not !!
i doubt gerakan or mca will persue the case on ismail or azhar mainly because their 'political rice bowl' is in stake and they will gladly tell the rakyat to let it to rest but won't say 'what rewards/compensations ' they will get from BN !!
how to rest when the non-bumi are STILL LABELED as no different from Pendatang Tanpa Izin as remarked by ismail who now walks FREELY as he pleases??
the reality of malaysia plolitics (as i had mentioned before) is that if you so happens to be especially a Muslim BN Umno even with a bit of status or position, you can make remarks whatever you please or wish and the laws will just keep their eyes close. As for the non-bumi to mark these remarks, its straight to JAIL WITH NO QUESTION ASK or worst, the firing squad as suggested by azhar. thus, for non-bumi, beware of what we talk and do nothing if we are being criticised or insulted!!
