It seems that the UMNOputras have started to have FEARS that they are about to lose their immense POWER that they use to have since they used to dominate the Barisan Nasional without realising that all the coalition partners should share equal powers and say in every decision making.
UMNO through Barisan Nasional had manipulated their role and with their 'spoon-feeding' tactics had spoilt the Malays to the extend that any detriment or stoppage of these 'great benefits' would create a rift and would eventual blame the other non-UMNOputras in Malaysia for depriving them from these benefits.
UMNO and its members would use any method to achieve their goal in keeping and continue securing these benefits at any cost until of late, where there is a climate of sudden change of attitude to TOPPLE the Barisan Nasional government from outside and from within. Once the Barisan Nasional is topple, it is a known fact that Barisan Nasional will collapse since almost every component partners would make a quick exit to protect and benefit their respective parties.
This could have been seen during the recent parliamentary by-election at Permatang Pauh where they (UMNO and BN) had mobilised their 'dirty tactics' to secure victory but since the PKR are mostly former UMNOputras, these tricks failed to work.
UMNOputras' arrogance and their continued attitude that they are superior than the others by indirectly claiming to champion the Malay supremacy cause but actual its UMNOputra supremacy cause had failed to get any support from the masses, including the Malay population who most of them believe that the time has come to 'share the cake' with every citizen to create a prosperous and dynamic Malaysia. that we can be proud to live in.
With the emergence of this NEW DAWN vision, Malaysians are drawn to it and they all hope that it will eventually happen so that Malaysians can live with peace and harmony among the multi-racial and multi-religious Malaysian society.
Its a shame that UMNOputras have still not learned their lesson?

If you modify your article a little bit, it can be their post mortem piece.
Really an excellent case study that needs to be written down for any political science course for "what not to do" to retain leadership in a multi-racial community.
