BN SUPREME COUNCIL MEETING TODAY - JUST EMPTY TALK & NO ACTION

It was reported that the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting (excluding SAPP) held this afternoon had decided to allow UMNO to take appropriate action against its member for having caused a racial sentiment on the Chinese community on the whole by claiming that they are 'mere squatters' or 'lodgers' and warned Chinese Malaysians not to mimic American Jews who not only sought to control the country's economy but also its political power, while tearing in an humilating manner the picture of Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon publicly and demanding GERAKAN to leave the BN coalition.

As usual, BN component parties have bow down to the supreme brother, UMNO to decide. It seems that the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council is just empty talk but no action.

Since this matter is of grave importance to the multi-racial and multi-religious Malaysian society, the BN Supreme Council should have immediately arrested Datuk Ahmad Ismail under the Internal Security Act (ISA) without delay.

It was reported that after meeting PM Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi this afternoon, Datuk Ahmad was defiant as he left the meeting by saying that Malays were 'frustrated' as leaders tried to appease all the racial groups, and that Malay 'dignity' was at stake.

Datuk Ahmad further commented that 'half the Chinese say I'm a racist but most Malays say I'm a nationalist defending my race,' and 'What I see now is a rise of the Malay people, and I feel we should capitalise on the strength, the support we get from the Malay people... I know they are with me,' Datuk Ahmad was reported as saying to the reporters at site.

This clearly indicates that Datuk Ahmad would not stop until and unless he is detained under ISA.

Will UMNO do it.

the way i saw other non-bumi components voicing their dis-contents and letting the umno to decide the fate of ismail as a very wise decision. only if the decision is not what they or we have expected of umno, i surely hope they won't stay around again but TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY because maybe these non-bumi leaders can tolerate but WE THE RAKYAT CAN'T AT ALL!!! we will pay you back by voting against you in the next election if you still stay around - make no mistake about that .
its like in real life. when the neigbor's kid is naughty, we let / give chance to the parent to discipline him.

to what extent is the punishment, its all in umno's hands now! to take the soft stand for a light sentence just becuase he is of same blood or make a bold stand for severe punishment like putting him to jail under sedition act .

in either of the choices, umno will still LOSE because like bodowi said before 'we can't please everyone' . i surely hope umno make the wrong choice though.
