De facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has tendered his resignation at 2pm today at the Prime Minister's Office over the government's use of the Internal Security Act, which allows detention without trial, against three individuals last week.
Datuk Zaid has expressed his disagreement with last Friday's ISA dragnet where DAP parliamentarian and Selangor senior exco Teresa Kok, controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin and Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng were held for allegedly being a threat to national security. Reporter Tan had been released yesterday.
Datuk Zaid was not able to be contacted for more details. Datuk Zaid had tendered his resignation prior to meeting with PM Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
It seems UMNO and Barisan Nasional are in a serious crisis.
Furthermore, the Stock Market at the KLSE fell drastically in reactions to the ISA arrest since buyer confidence had eroded.

luckily we have someone who can judge what is right and wrong or fair and unjust from BN side!! i only hope there will be more of this kind of people / fellowmen doing the same thing.
don't join a club which it feels it is above the law. quit before the law catches you. its just a matter of time...believe me.
when such times come, no excuses will be acceptable by the rakyat. i think this bn is worst than the illegals. the illegals come here to earn a decent living illegally but are scare of the laws while bn earns their livings illegally without fears of the laws!!
i hope i won't hear the last of zaid because as i had said before, he should have become AG replacing patail or replacing hamid because both are either ignorant or know nothing of the rule of law!!
the rakyat is really PROUD FOR HIM and we hope there will be MORE OF HIM from the bn side. don't stay quiet just for the sake of 'cari makan untuk sendiri' . WE ALL HAVE TO MAKAN TOO!! SHAME ON THOSE WHO STILL STAY AROUND!!

an underlink to the Taliban/Mujahideen freedom fighters’ caucus in Afghanistan?;
a staunch supporter of Hizbollah in Beirut?;
a special agent/mercenary who knows how to ignite C4 explosives at the back of her palms?;
an dangerous black market arms dealer from the Kazakhstan mountains?;
an underworld staunch disciple of Ayah Pin's sky kingdom? Anyone, please.
