ANWAR - ON TRACK TO TAKE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (Malaysiakini)

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Opposition leader in Parliament who had vowed to oust the current uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupted Barisan Nasional government on or before 16 September 2008, had claimed that his plans to be at PutraJaya (taking over the federal government) is on track.

Datuk Seri Anwar was speaking to reporters in Jakarta after meeting with a think tank, that he is confident that more than 30 lawmakers from the current ruling BN will defect so that his Opposition coalition will be able to form the next federal government.

In the mean while, Barisan Nasional is taking desperate steps to provide 'taxpayer's' free trip abroad to its Members of Parliament in an attempt to fail the scheduled 16 September takeover.

The statements made by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak cannot be relied upon since the way the BN is conducting its plans speak that there are defectors from their own party who are willing to crossover.

But whatever said, Malaysians are awaiting for A NEW DAWN to happen.

If its not 16 its for sure on 17 September 2008.

Why MP leave the country in droves when our KLSE is at the lowest, toll and petrol price are killing every body, big deficits in the country coffer and every household, inflation at the peak, and uncertainty of the political futures (In UMNO election and in Parliament). And this is puasa month - when we suppose to concentrate on obeying the GOD, and lead our children to surau or lead the tarawikh in our house?

I think the timing is very wrong – and surely the disadvantage is more than the intended benefit.
