The Opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had vowed to make a surprise this coming Tuesday, 16 September, 2008, which is also Malaysia Day, by toppling the Barisan Nasional government and forming the new Opposition Pakatan Rakyat government.
Datuk Seri Anwar had indicated he would even fly to Taiwan to get the relevant BN MP's to give their defection statements in support for the new Opposition government.
This news has sent Malaysians a joyous mood since they can expect this new government to be caring, effective, efficient and corrupt-free which Malaysians have been hoping for sometime now.
But the current BN government had indicated that Datuk Seri Anwar would fail in his 'dream' but nothing could be discounted since BN is really crazy to remain in power and any fall will be very destructive to mainly UMNO, which totally depends on a BN government for its continue survival.
It is hoped that racial politics should be discarded and emphasis should be to given to every Malaysian for equal opportunity with a greater concentration be given to the poor and needy to rise to better levels with direct government assistance. Although a majority of Malays and natives will form this class, Malaysians will be proud that sincere and honest people are directly benefiting from these policies rather than to help UMNOputra cronies to build a great empire as what BN/UMNO is now doing in the name of NEP.
Let's wait for Tuesday for these SURPRISES.

i still have doubts about a New Dawn for Rakyat Malaysia on 916. more-over, the way DSAI commented recently made me confused too (e.g. today he said 'not sure',tomorrow he said 'on track' , the next day he said 'maybe postpone' , next next day ' go to taiwan too'
based on these, my conclusion is 'don't be surprise if there is NO SURPRISE on 916!!'
however, i hope i'm wrong as i and many others really hope that on 916, we will see new faces to lead us into better future so WORK DAMP HARD FOR IT, PK!!
so just be ' cruel to be kind, no more play soft soft or clean or lie to hide the truth ' to achieve PK OBJECTIVE on 916!!
Why can't all of them just leave the "racial" thing behind and move on to make Malaysia a better place????? Sooner or later, this 916 thing will become a reality, though it might not happen on 16/9/08.
I'm just tired by this whole thing. It would have been better for DSAI to work behind the scenes and spring a surprise on us rather that talking so much about it. If it don't materialise his credibilty will go too.
