Parti GERAKAN Rakyat Malaysia seems to be having a serious internal crisis to the extend that its continued existence will only survive if it leaves the uncaring, ineffective, inefficient and corrupted Barisan Nasional coalition which administer the country.This was reported by Acting President Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon.
However, the party has three options, one to join the Opposition, second to continue with BN and face a non-existence situation or thirdly, to be independent.
Tan Sri Koh claimed that if on sentiments alone, most of GERAKAN members want the party to immediately leave the BN since double standards are practiced, using Datuk Ahmad Ismail's case as an example where nothing was done by the ruling government, although he had provoked racial sentiments while innocent people were arrested and charged under ISA ( later two released) on these accounts.
But whatever the circumstances, the party will use the rational and objective analysis method to make a decision but it would not be that straightforward and a simplistic decision to make and would need some time.
Will GERAKAN leave the BN?

It's too chicken to leave and got no balls to confront UMNO...so doesn't matter if it stays or leave. Gerakan members shud juz desert the party and join whatever party they desire.Gerakan's time is up. Game over
umno penang youth has recently demanded the PRESIDENT's stand on UMNO and also demanded MCA ALSO!!!
i think this penang umno really LOVES to stir troubles and i think they are part of the team that support ismail and the tearing off the respectable dr kho's photo.
the thing that impress me is that gerakan and mca CAN LEAVE if is unhappy with umno.
i think gerakan and mcs should listen to their advice AND PULL OUT. maybe then, big brother of umno will realise then how important these two parties are to them!!
umno youth is getting more and more arrogant on a daily basis. it hurts to seeing gerakan and mca is playing 'ping-pong' decision on this matter. how can you still stay around after your photo is tore down and noting that ismail is appointed as penang umno youth advisor??
Being still in bn doesn't make you feel hero for the race you so claim represent . on the contrary , you are actually wreaking the race because umno bn are really selfish and look down on other non-bumis!!
by the way, what right has umno youth to demand for decision? gerakan and mca were BORN much much much earlier than them!! also, why is the 'older umno' keeping mum on umno youth for being so daring?? its because they are all UMNO...can't you experienced politicians see that !!??
