It is reported that the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) had 'robbed' the Indian Community of a parcel of land in Bandar Utama, Selangor that should rightfully belong to a Tamil school.
The inspection of the official documents reveals the three-acre land had been purportedly been bought by MIC President, Datuk Seri S Samy Vellu was initially earmarked for SRJK (T) Effingham which currently sits on the adjacent three acre of land. Six acres were gazetted by the Selangor State for the school sometime in 1995.
It is really surprising to know how the school was only allowed to utilise three acres while the other three acres were sold to MIC?

MIC leadership is currently under serious crisis after the 8 March General Elections where most of its candidates lost their seats. MIC President and his deputy and a few other top officials failed to secure their parliamentary seats since the Indian community had lost faith and confidence in the MIC to safeguard the status of the Indian community.
The Indians through HINDRAF and Makkal Shakti had taken to the streets to show their plight that they have been marginalised by the BN government and a few of these leaders have been detained under the ISA at Kamunting for just voicing their grievences. To date MIC had failed to secure their release although they form part of the ruling BN government.
MIC had also faced a similar crisis in a Maika-Telecoms saga, which until to date had not been resolved.
With this new exposure, the Indian community is said to have totally NO FAITH and CONFIDENCE in the MIC unless this matter is addressed accordingly by handing it over to the Indian community for their benefit.
